Prime Video released the trailer, which finally reveals what fans can expect from the final season. From the two extremes of Homelander and Billy Butcher clashing to the Supes Virus coming into play, there’s much to expect.

At this point on The Boys, Homelander has taken over the world, imposing his power everywhere. However, there are pockets of resistance that are holding out, including Hughie and Annie’s group and the Guardians of Gen V.

The trailer shows these groups on the run and in hiding from Homelander and what remains of the Seven. However, Billy Butcher, who has the last sample of the Supe Virus on The Boys Season 4 Episode 8, wants to fight Homelander head-on.

To counter them, Homelander brings his father, Soldier Boy, out of stasis.

Meanwhile, he also uses new superpowered individuals, like Oh-Father, and those returning, like Firecracker, to help him. Homelander’s son, Ryan, also makes a comeback.

The resistance also has help in the form of Stan Edgar, Marie Moreau, and Jordan Li. Unfortunately, it looks like everyone might not be on the same page, as seen when Hughie and Billy are confronting each other in the trailer.

The Boys Season 5 synopsis also details what else fans might expect from other scenes when Season 5 premieres.

“Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a ‘Freedom Camp.’ Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found,” it reads.
