Preview — Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 8: Introduction to Chemistry

It’s the season finale, and the future is uncertain on Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 8, “Introduction to Chemistry.”

After taking a stand against Phil, whom she bumped heads with since Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 5, “CH₃COOH,” Elizabeth’s time at Supper at Six could be coming to an end. So, the show’s season finale will see the protagonist make a choice about her future.

Similarly, Elizabeth and Mad’s future may change because of the information they discovered about Calvin Evans’s past on Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 7, “Book of Calvin.”

With the help of Rev. Wakely’s letters and the lack thereof from St. Luke’s, the mother/daughter pay may get even more answers from Beau Bridge’s character after his brief appearances on Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 3, “Living Dead Things,” and “Book of Calvin.”

The episode description for “Introduction to Chemistry” doesn’t reveal much about that story, but the photos tease that at least Elizabeth pays Bridges’s character a visit at what appears to be his office at the Remsen Foundation.

Plus, Harriet prepares as the city council finally votes on the freeway that threatens to destroy Sugar Hill, a predominately Black neighborhood that Harriet has been fighting for since Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episodes 1 and 2, “Little Miss Hastings / Her and Him.”

Hopefully, the peaceful protest on Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 6, “Poirot,” is a(nother) positive sign the city council needs to see the people whose lives will be forever altered by the infrastructure and vote against it.
