Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 7, "Book of Calvin"

Preview — Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 7: Book of Calvin

Lessons in Chemistry, Previews

Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 7, “Book of Calvin,” is what Madeline Zott has been waiting for — answers.

Finally, chapters of Calvin’s life will illuminate the mysteries of his past in the limited series’s penultimate episode.

While the photos for “Book of Calvin” tease more about Elizabeth and Calvin’s relationship, they also suggest an origin story for Calvin, Harriet, and Charlie’s friendship. Both will be great to see, but the latter especially so considering how little screen time the duo shares across Lessons in Chemistry‘s first two episodes.

Unfortunately, fans of the limited series will immediately recognize the photo of Calvin kissing Elizabeth on the cheek — with Six Thirty in the background — as the morning of Calvin’s death. What follows is the devastating end of Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 2, “Her and Him.”

Meanwhile, in the present, Beau Bridges also returns to Lessons in Chemistry, and context clues suggest that Elizabeth and Mad pay him a visit.

Considering Bridges’s presence at Calvin’s funeral on Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 3, “Living Dead Things,” perhaps his character knows Calvin through St. Luke’s. Maybe the mother and daughter team up to learn about Calvin after Elizabeth opens up to Mad on Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 6, “Poirot.”
