New Clip from ‘Interview with the Vampire’ Season 2 Introduces Armand’s Coven
The first day of New York Comic Con brings a juicy new clip from Season 2 of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire to sink your teeth into.
Following disappointing news from the SAG-AFTRA negotiations this morning, AMC Networks took the stage without its stars for a panel promoting upcoming projects, including The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live and Orphan Black: Echoes.
The clip from the new season of Interview with the Vampire gave fans their first uninterrupted look at Armand’s coven and Delainey Hayles’ Claudia as the vampires convened outside a lavish French mansion for a bite to eat.

What is a horrifying event for the victims inside turns into a lovely meet-cute between Armand and Louis.
The clip opens with Louis describing Armand’s coven as the “rumbling beasts of the moving feast” as they pull up out front of the de la Croix family’s estate — a bunch of black market crooks, Armand explains as Louis takes some pictures on his little camera to commemorate their mass murder.
Stepping forward to disarm the guards is Santiago, played by newcomer Ben Daniels. Lestat’s flying has nothing on this vampire, who can access the guard’s thoughts with one painful stab to the neck.
Once a gruesome headcount has been established, most of the coven runs off to terrorize the unsuspecting rich people.
Louis tells Claudia he will hang back because of his new diet, but a quick eyebrow raise between the two suggests they both know some mad flirting is about to go down.

Armand, suspecting this, refutes Louis’ offer to follow the others. “I am now most where I want to be,” he says with a grin.
The fully-formed romance we witnessed in Season 1 begins to blossom as Louis compliments Armand’s stature, and Armand compliments Louis’ restraint, claiming it to be “alluring.” Louis rebuttals by saying he’s been thinking about the vampire a lot.
Armand admits a relationship would be “tricky” for them with his coven as his main priority, but Louis seems undeterred.
Alas, just as Louis relaxes into their comforting banter, Armand goes for the jugular, stating Claudia is much better at hiding her thoughts than our lead. He offers to help him fix that, but not before revealing he sensed trepidation from Louis when Lestat’s name was mentioned earlier.
Louis denies the allegation just as the scene cuts to black. Talk about a cliffhanger!

Thanks to a refreshing streaming deal, new life has been breathed into the undead drama since its premiere in 2022.
AMC+ recognized that not everyone will see value in paying for another cable-turned-streaming service to watch the latest Walking Dead spin-off. So it struck a deal with Max to stream 6 of its series on the HBO platform for 60 days, including Interview with the Vampire.
Since then, this coven of fans has continued to grow with a ferocity and dedication that would certainly impress Lestat. So, it is a good thing that Season 2 is currently in production on location in Prague.
The series is expected to premiere in 2024.
The newest season stars Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, Eric Bogosian, and Ben Daniels. The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson, creator and showrunner Rolin Jones, Mark Taylor, Christopher Rice, and the late Anne Rice.
