Julia Season 2 Trailer Released by Max
Julia cooks up some big changes in the Season 2 trailer for the Max Original series.
The eight-episode second season premieres with three episodes on Thursday, November 16, on Max, with one episode streaming weekly through the finale on December 21.
“With her trailblazing cooking show up and running on the air, Julia grapples with her rising celebrity and what that means for her, her colleagues and her show,” per Julia Season 2’s logline.

The pressure is hitting, especially on Alice, who tells Russ, “While you were working on the details of this one show, I am tasked with saving the entire station.”
When “Julia and her devoted husband Paul return from Simca’s home in France,” they discover that Julia’s “success has changed everything.”
“Through her singular joie de vivre, she and her team must navigate WGBH, the White House and a threat from their past, while continuing to spearhead female-driven public television and confront social issues still prevalent today,” the season’s logline reads.
Julia‘s trailer teases that trip to the White House’s kitchen and Henry Fox’s attempts at product placement. Beyond the professional, the new footage presents changes in the leading lady’s personal life, too. Avis reminds Julia that “Friendship is a two-way street.”

Through it all, Paul Child is by his wife’s side, saying, “You are a wonderful woman succeeding in a mediocre man’s world.”
Julia Season 2’s cast includes the returning series regulars of Sarah Lancashire, David Hyde Pierce, Bebe Neuwirth, Brittany Bradford, Fran Kranz, Fiona Glascott, and Robert Joy.
The then HBO Max renewed the series for its sophomore season just one day before Julia Season 1 Episode 8, “Chocolate Soufflé,” premiered. The comedy series made its three-episode series debut on March 31, 2022.
“Julia Child tends to make people happy. In a bleak world, she is a welcome balm. Making this show has done the same for us. Working with our cast – with Sarah and David – our production team, writers, directors and editors, who have become our friends, makes us happy,” Chris Keyser and Daniel Goldfarb, executive producers, said in a statement from May 2022.

“In the language of Julia, it feeds our souls. The genuine love and care that HBO Max has shown for our show has been overwhelming. They allowed us to tell the simple story of a group of remarkable, oddball, passionate people, who joyfully live their lives to the fullest,” they added.
“That we get to keep them alive for another season makes us the happiest of all, and we are already hard at work,” Keyser and Goldfarb concluded.
Lionsgate and 3 Arts Entertainment produce Julia. Chris Keyser serves as showrunner, as well as executive producer alongside creator Daniel Goldfarb. Erwin Stoff of 3 Arts Entertainment, Kimberly Carver, Charles McDougall, Donna Bloom, and Erica Lipez also executive produce.
Todd Schulkin is a consulting producer on behalf of The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts.
