The trailer sees Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington discuss their enduring friendship and the imperative changes within the industries they pushed for (“I wasn’t going to be bullied for the color of my skin,” Naomi said.), and the ones they still hope to make.

The Super Models voices the quartet’s lasting impact with quotes like, “Cindy, Linda, Christy, and Naomi, are still redefining what it means to be a model,” from Edward Enninful, Editor in Chief, British Vogue, and European Editorial Director, Vogue.

Christy voices how nice it is to reunite with the other women for the first time in their fifties, which Naomi echoes by saying, “When you come together with your chosen family, I feel that’s emotional.”

The Super Models trailer shows how George Michael’s “Freedom” music video changed the game for the women and helped them embrace their voices on the global stage.

The docuseries goes back to the 1980s when the four women united in New York.

The Super Models‘ synopsis is as follows:

Already forces in their own right, the gravitas they achieved by coming together transcended the industry itself. Their prestige was so extraordinary that it enabled the four to supersede the brands they showcased, making the names Naomi, Cindy, Linda, and Christy as prominent as the designers who styled them. Today, the four supermodels remain on the frontlines of culture through activism, philanthropy, and business prowess. As the fashion industry continues to redefine itself — and women’s roles within it — this is the ultimate story of power and how four women came together to claim it, paving the way for those to follow.

Imagine Documentaries and One Story Up produces The Super Models for Apple TV+. Executive producers include Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Sara Bernstein, Justin Wilkes, Barbara Kopple, Roger Ross Williams, and Geoff Martz, along with Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington-Burns.
