Preview — Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 9: The Miseducation of Luke Chambers

The penultimate episode is Luke-centric on Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 9, “The Miseducation of Luke Chambers.”
Luke re-evaluates his relationships as he wonders if the pressures of being a “Chambers man” have changed him.
After the cliffhanger on Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 8, “Confess Your Sins,” it’s worrisome that Luke is reflecting on his life. It could mean that the smash to black leaves Luke in a worse spot than previously believed. If so, that won’t mean good things for Megan and Isabella’s chance at innocence by the season’s end.
It doesn’t bode well that Isabella tells Megan, “We have to leave now,” in the promo video. The footage is all about suspense — Luke confronts someone about how he is done keeping their secrets.
Considering the number of secrets — and lies — floating around Chatham, this confrontation could be with anyone.
A sneak peek at “The Miseducation of Luke Chambers” shows a less-intense conversation between Jeff and Luke, where Jeff tells Luke that he is worse than Brent because of his dishonesty. It’s unclear when Jeff tells Luke that, but it’s not the first time Luke has heard that sentiment on Cruel Summer.
