Cordell Walker isn’t hanging up his hat yet.

The CW renewed Walker for a 13-episode fourth season to air in the 2023/2024 broadcast season, citing the series as the “network’s most-watched linear series.”

The series, led by Jared Padalecki as the titular character, premiered in 2021, with its prequel series and spinoff, Walker: Independence, premiering in 2022.

“Over the past three seasons, Walker has become the top performing series on The CW with a passionate fanbase and a fantastic cast and creative team led by Jared Padalecki, who has now been a leading man on the network for over twenty years,” Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment, The CW Network commented.

“As we build a great big new future for The CW, we are thrilled to be staying in business with our partners at CBS Studios, and we cannot wait to have Walker back on the schedule,” Schwartz added.

Walker reimagines Walker, Texas Ranger, as Cordell Walker, “a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin, TX, after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home,” per the show’s synopsis.

“We can’t wait to make Season 4 bigger and better than ever and to lasso even more fans into the Walker family. Let’s ride!”

Walker Season 3 Episode 18, “It’s a Nice Day for a Ranger Wedding,” the show’s season 3 finale, airs this Thursday, May 11, at 8/7c on The CW.

The episode’s synopsis reveals, “It’s a big day for the Texas Rangers and the Walker clan as friends and family gather to celebrate a very special event.”

Alongside Padalecki, Walker stars Ashley Reyes as Cassie Perez, Keegan Allen as Liam Walker, Mitch Pileggi as Bonham Walker, Molly Hagan as Abeline Walker, Violet Brinson as Stella Walker, Kale Culley as August Walker, Coby Bell as Captain Larry James, Jeff Pierre as Trey Barnett, and Odette Annable as Geri Broussard.

CBS Studios, in association with Rideback, produces Walker Season 3. Anna Fricke serves as showrunner and executive producer. Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberatore, Jared Padalecki, Steve Robin, and Russel Friend also serve as executive producers.

There is still no news on renewals or cancelations for Walker: Independence, Kung Fu, All American: Homecoming, The Winchesters, Gotham Knights, or Superman & Lois.

Walker airs Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW.
