Chad Michael Murray and Scott Patterson are returning to The CW on Sullivan’s Crossing.

The network has acquired the Canadian 10-episode drama for the 2023-2024 season. The original series from Robyn Carr, the bestselling author of Virgin River and the Sullivan’s Crossing book series, is set to premiere on The CW in the fall of 2023.

Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment, The CW Network, announced that Sullivan’s Crossing would make its U.S. debut, bringing the One Tree Hill and Gilmore Girls stars back to the network alongside Morgan Kohan.

Murray appeared alongside Patterson in Gilmore Girls Season 1 and one episode of Season 2 before trading Stars Hollow for One Tree Hill‘s Tree Hill.

The actor also returned to The CW in 2019 to play the cult leader Edgar Evernever in Riverdale Season 3 — and one episode of Season 4.

Sullivan’s Crossing is an emotionally rich, authentic family drama that will immediately resonate with audiences thanks to an incredible cast and relatable themes of self-reflection, second chances, and the power of community,” commented Schwartz.

Kohan stars as the star neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan, “who seemingly has it all, until her business partner is indicted for fraud and she finds herself charged with negligence,” per the series synopsis.

“Looking to distance herself from the fallout, Maggie decides to leave Boston and return to her childhood home of Sullivan’s Crossing, a rustic and remote campground set against the stunning coastline still run by her estranged father, Sully Sullivan,” portrayed by Scott Patterson.

While in Sullivan’s Crossing, Maggie will rekindle old friendships and build new ones, like with the “handsome newcomer” “who only serves to complicate her life further,” Cal Jones, played by Chad Michael Murray.

“As Maggie works on clearing her name and reputation, she is forced to confront her painful past, as she attempts to reconnect with a side of herself she had long forgotten.”

“It’s a pleasure to be working once again with executive producer and showrunner Roma Roth to bring yet another one of my novel series to life on the small screen.
