Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 21, “Might Feel Like It’s Time for a Change,” is setting up to be a dramatic penultimate episode with decisions to be made.
As the season prepares to come to a close, the fate of Gaffney itself hangs in the balance. Staff and patients are going to have to deal with any fallout of Gaffney’s new focus on profit over healthcare.

The entire season has been a conflict between Jack Dayton’s OR 2.0 and the staff who are wary of the impact of this type of technology in healthcare.
Will the doubting staff finally get their vindication? Or will Dayton’s vision for Gaffney’s future ultimately prevail?
Elsewhere, with Dean’s health still at a crossroads, it remains to be seen how and if he can be helped at all. Will his son Sean be able to donate his kidney before it’s too late?
With Chicago Med at the beginning of the end of the season, these and other lingering questions are begging for answers.
