NBC Announces Programming for the 2026/2027 Season
NBC has announced its programming for the upcoming 2026/2027 season, including returning series Chicago Fire and Law & Order: SVU, as well as new series Line of Fire and Newlyweds.
The new schedule comes as NBC anticipates its 100th anniversary on Thursday, December 10, with a three-hour variety special.
Line of Fire, the Peter Krause and Hope Davis-led drama series, joins the network’s Mondays. Newlyweds, the Téa Leoni and Tim Daly-led comedy, will air on Fridays. Plus, The Traitors will air an all-new civilian version of the competition reality series this fall, leading into Law & Order: SVU on Thursdays.

They join returning series, including The Voice, Law & Order, St. Denis Medical, The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins, and Happy’s Place.
NBC hasn’t made a decision regarding the fate of The Hunting Party.
The Rockford Files, starring David Boreanaz, and Sunset P.I., the new comedy starring Jake Johnson and Jane Levy, the new unscripted series Wordle, with co-host Savannah Guthrie, and the returning Destination X will premiere midseason.
Meanwhile, America’s Got Talent, American Ninja Warrior, and Password will all return this summer on NBC. The network’s new season of TV will kick off with The 78th Emmy Awards on Monday, September 14.

Line of Fire
Line of Fire stars Peter Krause in his first series regular role since his tenure as Captain Bobby Nash on ABC’s 9-1-1.
The series from writer and executive producer Josh Safran follows “a family of law enforcement agents,” who work for the FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service, and Department of Justice.
“After a seemingly cut-and-dry case turns into a deadly conspiracy, they must use the expertise from a lifetime of protecting civilians and politicians to protect one another and bring the killer to justice … even if it means betraying their sworn code,” per its synopsis.
Line of Fire also stars Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom, and Charlie Barnett. Jenna Bush Hager and Ben Spector are also executive producers. Director Rebecca Thomas is an executive producer on the show’s pilot. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces.

Newlyweds
Newlyweds is “a later-in-life love story about a free-spirited woman and a buttoned-up professor who marry impetuously after a whirlwind courtship,” per its logline.
The comedy from writer and executive producer Gail Lerner stars Téa Leoni and Tim Daly. Jamie Lee Curtis is set as a recurring guest star.
The show’s executive producers also include Eric and Kim Tannenbaum for The Tannenbaum Company, Jamie Lee Curtis, Scott Schwartz, and Lionsgate Television. Director Pam Fyman executive produced the pilot. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces Newlyweds.
