Bridgerton is taking us back in time to when a young King George and a young Charlotte met and fell in love. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story debuts on May 4 on Netflix.

Series Description: Centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.

The Other Two Season 3 (HBO Max) – May 4

Brooke and Cary have finally made their own names for themselves, but somehow, being successful hasn’t solved all their problems. The Other Two premieres with two episodes on May 4 on HBO Max (soon to just be called Max) with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: After comparing themselves for years to their much-younger pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Case Walker), who is now a full adult, and their talk-show host mother (Molly Shannon), who’s now more powerful than she could have ever imagined, Brooke and Cary (Heléne Yorke and Drew Tarver) are finally standing on their own two feet — fully “successful” in their own right! And yet, they somehow find themselves comparing themselves to new people once again???

BUPKIS (Peacock) – May 4

Pete Davidson stars as himself in a series about his real life, which is sure to be wacky and a lot of fun to watch. BUPKIS premieres with all episodes on May 4 on Peacock.

Series Description: BUPKIS, a half-hour live action comedy, is a heightened, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life. The series will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known.

Silo (Apple TV+) – May 5

The last 10,000 people alive on Earth live in an underground silo, but none of them know the origins of their new home. Anyone who tries to uncover the truth ends up dead. Silo premieres with two episodes on May 5 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: Silo is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and any who try to find out face fatal consequences. Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer, who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.

Crater (Disney+) – May 12

Caleb and his friends go on one final adventure together before Caleb moves to another planet. Crater premieres on May 12 on Disney+.

Film Description: Crater is the story of Caleb Channing, who was raised on a lunar mining colony and is about to be permanently relocated to an idyllic faraway planet following the death of his father. But before leaving, to fulfill his dad’s last wish, he and his three best friends, Dylan, Borney, and Marcus, and a new arrival from Earth, Addison, hijack a rover for one final adventure on a journey to explore a mysterious crater.

The Great Season 3 (Hulu) – May 12

Catherine and Peter are determined to make it their marriage work, murder plots be damned. The Great Season 3 premieres with all episodes on May 12 on Hulu.

Season Description: Season 3 of The Great sees Catherine (Elle Fanning) and Peter (Nicholas Hoult) attempt to make their marriage work after some seemingly insurmountable problems. Peter witnessed his own attempted murder at Catherine’s hands and she also imprisoned all of his friends. On top of this, Peter is at a loose end playing First Husband to Catherine’s reign, so he busies himself with fathering, hunting and salty culinary ventures. But they’re not enough to keep him contented as visions of his late father (played by Jason Isaacs), get in his head about his failures as Peter the Great’s son. Catherine the Great starts making a name for herself beyond her borders and inspired by a visit from the US ambassador, sets up a conference where peasants, nobles and merchants can all give their input on developing a new Russia. She learns that even the best political leaders sometimes need to make compromises in order to progress.

The Mother (Netflix) – May 12

Jennifer Lopez stars as a female assassin who will do whatever it takes to protect her daughter. The Mother debuts on May 12 on Netflix.

Film Description: A deadly female assassin comes out of hiding to protect the daughter that she gave up years before, while on the run from dangerous men.

XO, Kitty (Netflix) – May 18

The To All The Boys universe is expanding, and this spin-off follows the younger Song Covey as Kitty moves halfway around the world for love. XO, Kitty premieres on May 18 on Netflix.

Series Description: Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey thinks she knows everything there is to know about love. But when she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, she’ll soon realize that relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line.

The Clearing (Hulu) – May 24

This psychological thriller is based on the true crime novel, In The Clearing, by J.P. Pomare and pulls inspiration from real cults. The Clearing premieres with two episodes on May 24 on Hulu with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: Filmed across Victoria, The Clearing is an emotional and psychological thriller that follows the nightmares of a cult and a woman who’s forced to face the demons from her past in order to stop the kidnapping and coercion of innocent children in the future.

American Born Chinese (Disney+) – May 24

Jin Wang’s life is forever changed when he meets Wei-Chen, the son of a mythological god. American Born Chinese premieres with all episodes on May 24 on Disney+.

Platonic (Apple TV+) – May 24

Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne star as best friends who find their friendship taking over both of their lives. Platonic premieres with three episodes on May 24 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: Platonic follows a platonic pair of former best friends approaching midlife (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) who reconnect after a long rift. The duo’s friendship becomes all consuming — and destabilizes their lives in a hilarious way.
