Zoey 101 Sequel Movie, ‘Zoey 102,’ Set at Paramount+ with Original Cast Returning
Get ready to reunite with some Pacific Coast Academy alumni in the Zoey 101 YA movie, Zoey 102, coming to Paramount+.
Per Paramount+’s release, Zoey 102 “follows Pacific Coast Academy alumni as they reunite for a wedding in the present day.”
Though Zoey 102 is only a working title, Nickelodeon has shared that the sequel movie is in production in North Carolina with a premiere date slated for later this year, and original cast members from Zoey 101 series will reprise their roles.

Zoey 102 is an original full-length movie based on characters from the TV show and will star Jamie Lynn Spears as Zoey Brooks, Erin Sanders as Quinn Pensky, Sean Flynn as Chase Matthews, Matthew Underwood as Logan Reese, Christopher Massey as Michael Barret, Abby Wilde as Stacey Dillsen, and Jack Salvatore as Mark Del Figgalo.
Zoey 101 fans will note that a few names are missing from that line-up, including Paul Butcher as Dustin Brooks, Victoria Justice as Lola Martinez, and Austin Butler as James Garrett.
TV Line reports, “Perhaps the most obvious name missing is that of Alexa Nikolas, who recently (and very publicly) squashed her beef with Spears’ older sister, pop star Britney Spears, who traumatized Nikolas by yelling at her on set.”
Per Decider, Nikolas continues to speak out against Nickelodeon and Zoey 101‘s creator Dan Schneider. She also recently did so on Christy Carlson Romano’s podcast Vulnerable.

Jamie Lynn Spears shared a statement about reprising the titular role. “I’m beyond thrilled to be back alongside my PCA family and continue the story of Zoey and all the characters fans know and love,” Spears said.
“As an executive producer, it’s been an exciting opportunity to work with such incredible talent as well as Paramount+ and Nickelodeon,” Spears added.
Nancy Hower is the director for the Paramount+ original film, while Monica Sheer and Madeline Whitby wrote the script. Alongside Spears, Alexis Fisher, Hower, and Sherer & Whitby are executive producers on Zoey 102.
Zack Olin and Shauna Phelan, co-heads of Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Live-Action, oversee the movie’s production for Nickelodeon Studios. Linda Halder serves as Nickelodeon’s executive in charge of production.

Zoey 101, created by Dan Schneider, originally debuted on Nickelodeon in January 2005 and, according to Paramount+, “quickly emerged as one of the top live-action kids’ series on all of television.”
The original series “follows Zoey Brooks as she enrolls in Pacific Coast Academy, a school that previously only allowed boys to attend. Throughout the series, Zoey and her friends navigate life as teenagers in a boarding school.”
The show aired for four seasons, ending in 2008. Since its series finale, the cast has had a few reunions in varying capacities.
For instance, Entertainment Tonight exclusively unveiled a clip of the cast’s reunion on an episode of All That in 2020.

Zoey 102 joins Paramount+’s growing line-up of YA content, including the iCarly revival series that debuted in 2021 on the streaming service.
iCarly was renewed for a third season in July of last year. At that time, Paramount+ reported that production on Season 3 would begin in 2022, with a premiere date to come in 2023.
The revival of the Nickelodeon series joins Honor Society, starring Angourie Rice and Gaten Matarazzo. Both projects are produced by Paramount’s Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Live-Action Studios.
With iCarly, Teen Wolf: The Movie, and Zoey 102, Paramount+ keeps finding exciting ways to infuse nostalgia into its original programming.
