Joe Becomes a Target in a Murder Mystery in ‘You’ Season 4 Part 1 Trailer
Joe Goldberg’s search for Marienne results in the serial killer becoming a target in a murder mystery in the trailer for You Season 4 Part 1 on Netflix.
According to TV Line, Part 1 premieres on Thursday, February 9, with the remaining episodes will arrive in Part 2 on Thursday, March 9.
The trailer for You‘s upcoming season shows how Joe’s quest to find Marianne quickly becomes something else, or, as Joe puts it, “Heartbreak is always the catalyst for a new path.”
Per Netflix’s logline of the season, “After his previous life went up in flames, Joe Goldberg has fled to Europe to escape his ‘messy’ past, adopt a new identity, and, of course, to pursue true love. But Joe soon finds himself in the strange new role of reluctant detective as he discovers he may not be the only killer in London.”
“Now, his future depends on identifying and stopping whoever’s targeting his new friend group of uber-wealthy socialites,” it concludes.
Deadline reports that Badgley, Gabrielle, and Ritchie are joined by Lukas Gage, Tilly Keeper, Amy Leigh-Hickman, and Ed Speelers.
TV Line shares that Niccy Lin, Aidan Cheng, Brad Alexander, Ozioma Whenu, and Eve Austin are also part of Season 4’s new cast.
Joe runs from his past to create a new life in London as Professor Jonathan Moore, but he becomes entangled in the web of a murderer called the Eat the Rich Killer.
Though You‘s trailer begins with Joe stalking (and capturing) Tati Gabrielle’s Marienne, someone else catches his eye — Charlotte Ritchie’s Kate.
Joe’s undivided attention on Kate is complicated by the reveal that the presumed murderer is watching him and knows everything.
As Joe states, “I ran away from all of this. But one of you is watching me. One of you is hiding in plain sight. So, who are you?”
You is based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name.
