Preview — Law & Order Season 22 Episode 9: The System
In the explosive midseason finale, Law & Order Season 22 Episode 9, “The System” calls both Shaw and Price’s allegiances into question. They both find themselves looking inward when a suspect escapes police custody.
The actions of the suspect have Shaw re-examining how he acted as the officer in charge of the initial arrest. Shaw is usually a very well-focused, by-the-book kind of cop, so it’s surprising to see him question that.
A hostage situation erupts from this escape because the suspect feels the justice system isn’t working for him. All because it takes months for the case to see a courtroom.
This case has Price questioning his faith in the justice system he is sworn to uphold. After all, what justice has been served to this suspect?
