How I Met Your Father Season 2 Premiere Date Announced by Hulu
Are you ready for the next season of How I Met Your Father?
Per TV Line, Hulu announced that Season 2 would premiere on Tuesday, January 24.
Deadline confirms that new episodes will debut weekly after that. Additionally, the streaming service released four new photos from the upcoming season.
Hilary Duff also shared the news on the show’s social media accounts, saying, “I’ve been dying to tell you guys when Season 2 of How I Met Your Father premieres, and they’re finally letting me!”
How I Met Your Father picks up eight years after the series finale of How I Met Your Mother and follows Hilary Duff as Sophie. The original series aired for nine seasons from 2005 to 2014.
Like the original, How I Met Your Father shows Sophie in the near future (played by Kim Cattrall) telling her son the story of how she met his father.
Then, the comedy flashes back to the present to see “Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.”
The series debuted with a two-episode series premiere in January 2022, making its Season 2 premiere almost exactly one year later.
The 10-episode season, which included How I Met Your Mother‘s Cobie Smulders reprising her role as Robin Scherbatsky, concluded in March.
As previously reported, Hulu renewed the multi-cam sitcom for a supersized second season halfway through its first season. Season 2 will consist of 20 episodes.
How I Met Your Father also stars Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, and Suraj Sharma. Kim Cattrall, Daniel Augustin, Ashley Reyes, and Josh Peck appear in recurring roles.
Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger write the sitcom. How I Met Your Father‘s executive producers include Aptaker, Berger, Carter Bays, Craig Thomas, Pam Fryman, and Adam Londy. Duff will serve as a producer. The show is a production of 20th Television.
