It’s time to slip back into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite as the second semester of junior year begins. This season will find Georgina Sparks making her return to New York City. Gossip Girl Season 2 premieres on December 1 on HBO Max.

Season Description: It’s the second semester of Junior year, and Gossip Girl is leaving no stone unturned in her effort to control the scandalous lives/spin the scandalous lies of Manhattan’s elite. She’s learned a thing or two from her first go-round — namely what her audience wants, they shall get. It’s time for her to turn the heat up on what’s been simmering (Julien, have you met Monet?) as well as look at her own impact, and how she can make it more catastrophic than it was before. Even if that means lying to do it. Old enemies, new allies, constantly shifting sands — this semester, there can only be one queen, and by the end of the school year, everyone will know where the bodies are buried, and just who was holding the shovel.

When Darby’s high school nemesis, Capri, dies in a freak accident, Darby ends up having to help Capri resolve her unfinished business and move on to the other side. Darby and the Dead premieres on December 2 on Hulu.

Film Description: After suffering a near-death experience as a young girl, Darby Harper (Downs) gains the ability to see dead people. As a result, she becomes introverted and shut off from her high school peers and prefers to spend time counseling lonely spirits who have unfinished business on earth. But all that changes when Capri (Cravalho), the Queen Bee of the school’s most exclusive clique, unexpectedly dies in a freak hair straightening accident, resulting in the obvious cancellation of her upcoming “Sweet 17.” Capri, however, pleads with Darby from the other side to intervene and convince Capri’s friends to proceed with the party as planned. In order to appease the wrath of the undead diva, Darby must emerge from her self-imposed exile and reinvent herself — which along the way allows her to find new joy back in the land of the living.

We’re headed back to Slough House to see what mayhem our favorite MI-5 agents find themselves in this season. Slow Horses Season 2 premieres with two episodes on December 2 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: In season two, long-buried Cold War secrets emerge which threaten to bring carnage to the streets of London. When a liaison with Russian villains takes a fatal turn, our hapless heroes must overcome their individual failings and raise their spy game in a race to prevent a catastrophic incident.

Doom Patrol Season 4 Part 1 (HBO Max) – December 8

When the team unexpectedly travels to the future, they’ll have to fight for survival and decide whether or not to hold on to their own happiness or save the world. Doom Patrol Season 4 Part 1 premieres with two episodes on HBO Max on December 8 with new episodes releasing through January 5. Doom Patrol Season 4 Part 2 will premiere later in 2023 with six additional episodes.

Season Description: Season Four opens with the team unexpectedly traveling to the future to find an unwelcome surprise. Faced with their imminent demise, the Doom Patrol must decide once and for all which is more important: their own happiness or the fate of the world?

A gift mix-up causes two couples to cross paths, causing a chain reaction of events that none of them saw coming. Something from Tiffany’s premieres on December 9 on Prime Video.

It’s A Wonderful Binge is similar to The Purge except instead of all crime being legal for a day, drugs and alcohol are, so it should be a less traumatic viewing experience, hopefully. It’s A Wonderful Binge premieres on December 9 on Hulu.

Film Description: All drugs and alcohol are illegal except on the day of the Binge. Several years after their first Binge, best friends Hags, Andrew, Sarah, and Kimi face the realities of young adulthood as the annual Binge Day is moved to Christmas Eve. Amidst the chaos, Hags plans a proposal to Sarah while Andrew deals with his rocky relationships with his family and his girlfriend Kimmi. Will they survive this holiday season?

Kindred (FX/Hulu) – December 13

Dana James is a writer who recently relocated to Los Angeles. After suffering a dizzy spell, she finds herself transported to pre-civil war times. All eight episodes of Kindred release on December 13 on Hulu.

Season Description: Adapted from the celebrated novel Kindred, by Hugo Award-winner Octavia E. Butler, the FX series centers on “Dana James” (Mallori Johnson), a young Black woman and aspiring writer who has uprooted her life of familial obligation and relocated to Los Angeles, ready to claim a future that, for once, feels all her own. But, before she can settle into her new home, she finds herself being violently pulled back and forth in time. She emerges at a nineteenth-century plantation, a place remarkably and intimately linked with Dana and her family. An interracial romance threads through Dana’s past and present, and the clock is ticking as she struggles to confront secrets she never knew ran through her blood, in this genre-breaking exploration of the ties that bind.

National Treasure: Edge of History (Disney+) – December 14

Riley is back! This time, he’s helping Jess and her friends as they solve puzzles and clues to find a long-lost treasure. National Treasure: Edge of History premieres with two episodes on December 14 on Disney+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: Jess Valenzuela’s life is turned upside down when an enigmatic stranger gives her a clue to a centuries-old treasure that might be connected to her long-dead father. Jess has a knack for solving puzzles, and her skills are put to the test as she and her friends follow a series of clues hidden in American artifacts and landmarks. But can Jess outsmart a black-market antiquities dealer in a race to find history’s greatest lost treasure and unbury the truth about her family’s past?

The Recruit (Netflix) – December 16

Noah Centineo stars as Owen Hendricks, a young lawyer at the CIA. His first week on the job becomes increasingly dangerous when a former asset threatens to expose the agency. The Recruit premieres on December 16 on Netflix.

We’re getting another Yellowstone prequel, which will introduce us to a new generation of Duttons to fall in love with: Jacob and Cara, played by the immensely talented Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. 1923 premieres on December 18 on Paramount+.

Series Description: 1923, the next installment of the Dutton family origin story, will introduce a new generation of Duttons, led by patriarch Jacob and matriarch Cara. The series will explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season 3 (Prime Video) – December 21

Jack Ryan somehow finds himself being accused of treason and with a Red Notice out for his arrest. Will he be able to uncover the truth and prevent a global catastrophe? Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season 3 premieres with all eight episodes on December 21 on Prime Video.

Season Description: In the third season of the action-thriller series, Jack Ryan is working as a CIA case officer in Rome, when he is tipped off that the Sokol Project, a secret plan to restore the Soviet Empire, is being resurrected more than 50 years after it was thought to have been shut down. Peacock is giving us the opportunity to check in with some old friends. All eight episodes of The Best Man: The Final Chapters drop on Peacock on December 22.

Series Description: Based upon the eponymous Universal film franchise written and directed by Malcolm D. Lee, the series will catch up with the beloved cast as relationships evolve and past grievances resurface in the unpredictable stages of midlife crisis meets midlife renaissance.

Benoit Blanc is back, ready to solve another mystery. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery premieres December 23 on Netflix.

Film Description: Benoit Blanc returns to peel back the layers in a new Rian Johnson whodunit. This fresh adventure finds the intrepid detective at a lavish private estate on a Greek island, but how and why he comes to be there is only the first of many puzzles. Blanc soon meets a distinctly disparate group of friends gathering at the invitation of billionaire Miles Bron for their yearly reunion.
