Woodstone finds itself overrun with film crews when a reality show that reenacts dumb deaths comes to the mansion for inspiration.
Ghosts Season 2 Episode 7, “Dumb Deaths,” will follow Pete as he finally reckons with the unfortunate and “dumb” details of his demise at the hand of a rogue arrow.
But to make matters worse, production hires an overzealous method actor to play Pete — enter Mathew Baynton of BBC Ghosts fame.
Baynton is one of the original series’ creators and the actor who brings the show’s dead poet Thomas Thorne to life. His cameo marks the first crossover between the BBC series and the CBS adaptation.
As Pete struggles to stay positive, Baynton brings the scout leader’s legacy into question with increasingly outlandish claims. Hacks‘ Rose Abdoo will also appear as the no-nonsense producer of the project.
But Pete’s untimely demise is not the only dumb death on the property, and it’s not long before the episode looks to other ghosts for inspiration.
With a crowded haunted house, it’s only a matter of time before this documentary descends into chaos.
