Masterpiece tweeted out the news with a shot of the Season 4 slate, announcing that production on the fourth season is currently underway. TV Line’s report confirms that the show’s production is filming in Serbia.

Set in Victorian-era London, Miss Scarlet and The Duke follows Eliza Scarlet, played by Kate Phillips, as she takes up the mantle left behind by her father as the private detective at the Henry Scarlet Detective Agency.

While Eliza investigates these cases outside of the law, her cases usually become intertwined with those of Chief Inspector William Wellington, played by Stuart Martin.

While the pair have become a part of each other’s crime-solving successes, the series has also continued to tease out the will-they-won’t-they tension, leaving fans hanging at the end of Season 2 with the potential of more teasing and tension to come in Season 3.

Cathy Belton as Ivy, Eliza’s closest confidant and parental figure, and Ansu Kabia as Moses, Eliza’s friend and enforcer of sorts, round out the cast.

Evan McCabe joined the cast during the second season as young Detective Fitzroy, growing into Wellington’s mentee at Scotland Yard.
