The Recruit Season 1 Episode 5 Noah Centineo Suits Up in the Trailer for Netflix’s Spy Thriller ‘The Recruit’

Noah Centineo Suits Up in the Trailer for Netflix’s Spy Thriller ‘The Recruit’

News

The Recruit follows Noah Centineo as Owen Hendricks, a young lawyer at the CIA. His first week on the job becomes increasingly dangerous when a former asset threatens to expose the agency.

That former asset is Max Meladze, portrayed by Laura Haddock. Max has zero qualms about revealing her long-term relationship with the CIA if they don’t exonerate her for a serious crime.

The Netflix series, debuting on Friday, December 16, is executive produced by Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David Bartis, Adam Ciralsky, and Alexi Hawley.

Hawley, known for his work on The Rookie and The Rookie: Feds, also serves as creator and showrunner on The Recruit. TV Line reports that the drama’s debut season will consist of eight episodes.

The Recruit also stars Fivel Stewart, Vondie Curtis Hall, Kristian Bruun, Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, and Daniel Quincy Annoh.

The trailer sees Owen meeting with Max, who wrote a letter to the CIA about her plans. Then, “Owen quickly becomes entangled in a dangerous and often absurd world of power politics and mischievous players, as he travels the world in hopes of completing his assignment and making a mark at the CIA.”

As Netflix’s TUDUM states, “This 24-year-old is in for an action-packed eight episodes as he’s thrown into the murky waters of espionage in The Recruit.”

Those murky waters include intense action, encountering dead bodies, making questionable drink choices, and working with a lot of luck — all while trying to preserve classified information.

The Recruit continues Centineo’s collaboration with Netflix. Centineo stars as the teen heartthrob Peter Kavinsky in the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy.

The To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise continues with the spinoff series XO, Kitty, coming to Netflix soon. As previously reported, Netflix has released a sneak peek of the cast.

Owen Hendricks’ high-stakes life at the CIA diverges greatly from Peter Kavinsky’s coming-of-age tale, so fans can expect a different side of Centineo when The Recruit premieres on Netflix next month.
