The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 Trailer and Premiere Date Released by HBO Max
It’s back-to-school time for the ladies at Essex College in The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 trailer released HBO Max. Or, at least back to school after Fall Break.
The Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble comedy will premiere on HBO Max with a two-episode drop on November 17. After that, another two episodes will drop on Thursdays until the season’s culmination on December 15.
The core four “College Girls,” Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet), Bela (Amrit Kaur), Leighton (Reneé Rapp), and Whitney (Alyah Chanelle Scott) are all set to return for the sophomore season. Ironically though, they are still freshmen and only a few weeks have passed since The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 1 finale.
When we left the girls at the end of Season 1, after her relationship with Alicia ended, Leighton came out as a lesbian to Kimberly.
Kimberly saved herself from getting expelled after cheating by stealing a collection of tests, but she still lost her much-needed scholarship and possibly ruined Nico’s fraternity’s standing.
As previously reported, Gavin Leatherwood is not reprising his role as Nico for The Sex Lives of College Girls‘ second season.
Elsewhere, Bela quit “The Catullan” after being sexually harassed by some of the male members. The finale left her on the cusp of a flirtationship with Eric, one of the other former members.
Whitney, having just ended her relationship with her coach, finally spilled the beans to her mother.
Based on the trailer, The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 looks to live up to the first season with the same caliber of comedy, hijinks, and intermingling. This time, it’s just winter.
In Season 2, Kimberly enlists the help of her friends to come up with new ideas to supplement her income in lieu of her scholarship. Like any college student, the ideas range from selling feet pics (she has long toes) to “get hit by a city bus.” Classics!
Whitney is making headway with Canaan, but there’s a lack of communication, and she’s asking everyone else to define their relationship except for Canaan.
Meanwhile, Bela gets the girls on board for a fun party that doubles as an unconventional way to raise money for charity. Case in point: the strip show the trailer showcases.
Leighton, having settled into her sexuality, is on the rebound with 30 new girls. (Yes, you read that right.) The entire dorm floor seems to be on “Leighton watch,” living for the new drama that her sex life is bringing to the halls.
Another plot from The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 1 that we see hinted at in the new trailer is sorority recruitment, complete with the viral “door stack.”
Per its logline, The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 “picks up with the students returning after their Fall break, tackling the challenges thrown their way at the end of season one, and facing their next semester filled with new faces, parties, and predicaments.”
Joining the show as series regulars are a handful of Season 1 alumni: Mekki Leeper, Christopher Meyer, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Lolo Spencer, and Renika Williams.
Newcomer Mitchell Slaggert joins Season 2 as Jackson, who the trailer teases as a new hallmate — possibly even a new flame for any of the single, interested roommates.
