New Amsterdam Season 5 Episode 6, “Give Me a Sign,” is not looking to make any improvements to the series so far.
Casey is back, and it’s too bad for him. However, maybe this is exactly what the show needs to get back on track. Casey has always been the quintessential best friend, and the DamFam needs him more than ever.

Unfortunately, what New Amsterdam doesn’t need more of is Iggy being a terrible physician with his patients. It’s questionable whether he will be able to provide actually good medical advice to the parents of a deaf child.
We’re also still talking about Floyd’s father Harold, and his possible bipolar disorder. Will Floyd be able to help his dad before it’s too late? Or will the status quo return, with everyone living in their comfortable denial?
The DamFam is going to need to be at their absolute best to be able to support Floyd in taking care of his father. It is going to be an uphill battle for Horace if he can’t accept his reality.
The DamFam is still struggling to come together. Could they be at a turning point?
