Preview — Alaska Daily Season 1 Episode 4: Weekend
It’s Gabriel’s turn in the spotlight on Alaska Daily Season 1 Episode 4, “Weekend.”
Gabriel was the first Alaska Daily team member Eileen met on Alaska Daily Season 1 Episode 1, “Pilot,” when he met her at the airport. Since that episode, though, Gabriel has stayed mainly in the background. That changes on “Weekend.”
While the entire team is covering the Alaska State Fair, Gabriel stumbles upon an unexpectedly big story. This is his first big story, and he is a bit nervous. But with the help of Eileen and possibly a new character played by Phillip Forest Lewitski, he will make the most of his big chance.
Elsewhere on the episode, Roz and Eilleen continue to look into Gloria’s murder, but not everyone is happy about that.
As the two make progress on the case, the threats that started on “Pilot” warning Eileen to leave the case alone continue to grow. As the promo shows, the anonymous antagonist escalates things from angry emails and phone calls to sending packages to the Daily.
One package even includes the very unsubtle threat of violence in the form of a bullet.

Episode description: It’s the Alaska State Fair, and The Daily Alaskan team is covering every angle of this beloved annual event, including Gabriel, who is excited for his first assigned story. When his reporting leads him somewhere unexpected, he rises to the occasion with Eileen’s support. Meanwhile, Eileen and Roz have very different weekends before reuniting to make more progress on their investigation.
