Welcome to a new week and a special Fall TV Edition round of What to Watch on TV for the week of September 18th! We’ll share our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots and significant TV episodes to watch.

This week’s picks include the return of Quantum Leap, a pair of big crossover events, and more.

The U.S. and The Holocaust – Sunday, September 18

PBS’ latest docuseries provides perspective on the events contributing to Hitler’s rise while also providing context on a global scale about the rise of antisemitism and racism and eugenics in America. The US and The holocaust debuts Sunday, September 18 at 8/7c on PBS.

Episode Description: Congress passes its first laws restricting immigration after decades of maintaining open borders; in Germany, Hitler and the Nazis begin their persecution of Jewish people, causing many to flee to other countries including America.

The next generation is about to be introduced to a cult classic with a new team restarting the Quantum Leap project with lead physicist Ben Song at the helm. Get ready for Quantum Leap’s return, Monday, September 19 at 10/9c on NBC.

Episode Description: A new team assembles to restart the Quantum Leap project; lead physicist Ben Song takes an unauthorized leap into 1985 as the team scrambles to figure out what happened and how to get him back.

FBI – Tuesday, September 20

The fall season has the team on a new mission to stop an arms broker from selling off a massive piece of artillery. But when they discover that it’s already in the wrong hands, will they be able to keep it from going off? FBI returns Tuesday, September 20 at 8/7c on CBS.

Episode Description: The team pivots when their sting operation to secure a massive bomb from an illegal broker leads them to discover that the device is already in the wrong hands; Jubal’s promise to be present at his son’s birthday party is put to the test.

A new season sees Devon taking the lead on new clinical trials at Chastain, and the doctors racing to find a solution for Padma’s pregnancy emergency. The Resident returns Tuesday, September 20 at 8/7c on Fox.

Episode Description: When Padma’s pregnancy takes a dangerous turn, the doctors come together to find a solution and turn to Ian to perform a miracle; Conrad makes a decision regarding his love life and Devon leads his own clinical trials at Chastain.

The final season follows Max as he deals with the aftermath of Helen’s choice. New Amsterdam returns Tuesday, September 20 at 10/9c on NBC.

Episode Description: Bloom, Iggy and Reynolds rally around Max as he deals with the fallout from Helen’s decision; Bloom gives extra space to Leyla but is in for a surprise; Reynolds and Wilder help a young terminal patient realize his dream to star in a Bollywood show.

This comedy is ready to take on Hollywood’s latest obsession: reboots. Hulu has enlisted a talented and hilarious cast to bring this parody to life. Reboot debuts Tuesday, September 20 on Hulu.

Series Description: An early 2000s family sitcom is rebooted, and the dysfunctional cast mustdeal with their unresolved issues in today’s fast-changing world.

Reba McIntyre joins the cast as a new mystery unravels and has Cassie and Jenny on the case and asking the question: who can they trust? Big Sky: Deadly Trails returns Wednesday, September 21 at 10/9c on ABC.

Diego Luna reprises his Rogue One role as Cassian Andor for this prequel series that shows the rebel’s journey leading up to the moments in the film. Andor debuts with three episodes on Wednesday, September 21 on Disney+.

Series Description: The series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. One Chicago is back for a new season as Chicago Med deals with the aftermath of a big fire, Chicago Fire deals with an interrupted honeymoon, and there’s an alliance shift on Chicago PD. One Chicago kicks off Wednesday, September 21 at 8/7c on NBC.

Episode Description: In the aftermath of Halstead’s apartment fire, Marcel, Choi and Archer work together to try to save the survivors; Charles and Med’s new fellow, Cuevas, helps a paranoid patient; Scott makes a life-changing decision. The new season of the Law & Order universe kicks off with a three-show crossover event tied all to the same inciting incident: a young girl is shot in cold blood. The Law & Order Crossover Event kicks off Thursday, September 22 at 8/7c on NBC.

Episode Description: As the telecast begins, a mysterious young girl is shot in cold blood and Det. Frank Cosgrove (Jeffrey Donovan) teams up with Det. Jalen Shaw (Mehcad Brooks, first episode) to track down her killer. Capt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Det. Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) are called in to help when they realize they have more than a typical homicide case on their hands.
