Based on the novels by Richelle Mead, Vampire Academy introduces us to a world of Moroi (mortal vampires), Dhampir guardians (Moroi-human hybrids), and the dangerous Strigoi (immortal, evil vampires).
This series is set primarily at St. Vladimir’s Academy, a boarding school for Moroi royalty and guardians in training.

Rose and Lissa’s friendship is at the heart of the series. Despite their different levels of status, they have been inseparable for years. It’s them against the world, and no matter who they are up against, my money’s on Rose and Lissa coming out victorious.
Based on the trailer, posted below, it’s clear court politics will play a big role in the series with Lissa and J. August Richard’s Victor trying their best to help not just the Moroi royalty but everyone who falls under their reign.
The first four episodes of Vampire Academy premiere on Thursday, September 15 with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: From executive producers Julie Plec & Marguerite MacIntyre comes a story of friendship, romance, and danger. In a world of privilege and glamour, two young women’s friendship transcends their strikingly different classes as they prepare to complete their education and enter vampire society. One as a powerful Royal, the other a half-vampire Guardian trained to protect against the savage ‘Strigoi’ who threaten to tear their society apart. That is, if Royal infighting doesn’t do the job first.
