Vampires seem to make their way into every supernatural show on television. They’re sexy, they’re scary, and their appeal is as immortal as they are.

These memorable bloodsuckers cover everyone from a number-obsessed Muppet to the bad-ass boyfriends of some our favorite human heroines.

1. Count Von Count, Sesame Street

He’s one — one awesome vampire! Ah-ha-ha! Count von Count makes this list because every single one of you knew how to read that first line in his voice. Sesame Street‘s number-loving vamp has taught kids to count for forty-five years, and he shows no signs of stopping.

2. The Countess, American Horror Story: Hotel

Has there ever been a more fabulous vampire? Technically, Lady Gaga’s American Horror Story character wasn’t a vampire. She had a blood virus, but The Countess drank blood and lived the nightlife with more taste and class than anyone else on this list.

3. Benny Lafitte, Supernatural

Vampires come and go in the world of Supernatural, but Benny and Dean formed such a close bond in Purgatory that the eldest Winchester considered him a blood brother. Anyone important enough to be considered one of the Winchester brothers deserves to be recognized.

4. Spike, Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Angel

He started out as Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s most interesting Big-Bad and ended up as one of Buffy’s most controversial boyfriends. No matter what side he was on, Spike was always ready with a quip or some serious wisdom for the Scooby gang.

5. Pam de Beufort, True Blood

If there were a list of the 20 best lines from vampire shows, all of them would belong to Pam. She might have been sarcastic and bitchy, but she was usually right and she was loyal AF.

Barnabas Collins is the OG of TV bloodsuckers. As the protagonist in Dark Shadows, the 175-year-old vampire continuously saved his human family from danger while searching for his lost love.

9. Dracula, Penny Dreadful

Can you even have a list of memorable vampires and not include Dracula? The Penny Dreadful version of the character portrays the world’s most famous vamp as the brother of Lucifer, banished to earth where he poses as a zoologist.

10. Vampire Burns, The Simpsons
