Relationships always change once people move in together — which Jackie and Neville learn firsthand very quickly. On The Conners Season 5 Episode 2, “Scenes From Two Marriages: The Parrot Doth Protest Too Much,” Jackie realizes just how dedicated to his job, Neville is when he brings some of the animals home with him.
Despite this, Jackie tries her best to support Neville in all his passions — whether animal or theatrical in nature. This helps them adjust to the changes in their new marriage.
On the other side of things, Darlene and Ben are struggling with some hard truths of their own. Ben tells Darlene he thinks she’s turning into her dad — which as anyone knows isn’t a statement that’s ever received well.
Will these two new marriages fall apart or will the couples work through these challenges together?

Episode description: Jackie moves in with Neville and discovers that being newlyweds produces new problems when Neville shows up to their home with an excess of animals from his vet office. Meanwhile, Darlene and Ben have an argument as Ben points out Darlene is turning into her father.
