Only Murders in the Building Season 2 Episode 10 Review: I Know Who Did It
To say that Only Murders in the Building Season 2 Episode 10, “I Know Who Did It,” is a wild ride is a vast understatement. It keeps you on your toes, and you are never sure what’s coming next or what was originally part of Oliver, Mabel, and Charles’ plan.
Only Oliver Putnam would think a live performance on camera is the best way to get a confession out of someone, and we love him for it.

Admittedly, his choice of participants is random. There’s no logical reason for some of them to be there except perhaps that we were forced to endure storylines with them in it throughout the season.
The live stream unveiling of Bunny’s murder is chaotic, and yet it completely works. There’s so much humor in the whole charade, and despite the fake stabbing of Charles and every other insane thing that happens, the whole thing fits the vibe of Only Murders in the Building.
Between trying to keep up with each potential murderer only to have the accusation taken back minutes later to everyone’s reactions, there’s so much to watch. You’re drawn to watching Oliver, Mabel, and Charles, but now I’m thinking of re-watching it just to focus on everyone else’s reactions, like Howard and his fainting.

Bunny appears to have been an easy target, and that’s why Kreps and Poppy planned to kill her. It isn’t so much about her and how she’s wronged them, but more about what they would gain from the investigation and podcast to follow.
One thing that is still bothering me is why Poppy texted Oliver, Charles, and Mabel and warned them to get out of the building. If it was to give them an alibi, does this mean that Poppy didn’t originally plan to frame them? Because if so, who was her intended fall guy?
Maybe she wanted to pin it on Rose Cooper, bringing the painting more to the forefront, but it’s unclear. We get everything spelled out to us when our trio was pinning the murder on Cinda, and it would’ve been nice to make a couple of things clearer once the real killer is unveiled.
What’s your theory on why Poppy warned our trio?

When Detective Williams storms in to make the arrest, there’s too much time left in the episode, which clues you in on the fact that we’re going to witness another murder. However, the time jump is unexpected.
It is a nice change of pace from the back-to-back investigations of Tim Kono and Bunny, and it will allow our trio to grow and live a little outside of the stress of an investigation. When we come back for the already renewed Only Murders in the Building Season 3, we’ll get to see potentially new sides of Charles, Mabel, and Oliver.
I can’t wait to hear about what all they’ve been up to and learn how Charles actually made an enemy out of Paul Rudd. I can’t picture Charles making enemies. My theory is that Paul Rudd’s character is dating or interested in Mabel, and Charles does not approve.

Stray Thoughts
- The slow-motion scene is absolute perfection. No notes.
- I love that Cinda offering Mabel a podcast is what gets Poppy to snap.
- I would’ve loved getting to see our trio loop Cinda in and get her reaction to Poppy’s murderous shennagins.
