The Sandman (Netflix) – August 5

They/Them (Peacock) – August 5

A horror flick set at a camp is a recipe for a good, scary time. Check out Peacock’s horror film, They/Them, when it premieres on August 5.
Film Description: Kevin Bacon plays Owen Whistler in this slasher horror film set at an LGBTQIA+ conversion camp. Several queer campers join Whistler for a week of programming intended to “help them find a new sense of freedom.” As the camp’s methods become increasingly more psychologically unsettling, the campers must work together to protect themselves. When an unidentified axe murderer starts claiming victims, things get even more dangerous.
I Am Groot (Disney+) – August 10

Baby Groot is getting his own series of shorts! Get ready for a dose of adorableness when I Am Groot releases with all 5 shorts on August 10 on Disney+.
Series Description: There’s no guarding the galaxy from this mischievous toddler! So get ready as Baby Groot takes center stage in his very owns series, exploring his glory days growing up — and getting into trouble — among the stars.
Locke & Key Season 3 (Netflix) – August 10

The final season is almost here, and the Locke’s are faced with their most dangerous threat yet. Locke & Key Season 3 debuts on Netflix on August 10.
Season Description: The Locke family uncovers more magic within Keyhouse, while a new threat — the most dangerous one yet — looms in Matheson with plans of his own for the keys.
Never Have I Ever Season 3 (Netflix) – August 12

Devi and friends are back for a third season, and we’re dying to see what’s in store for the Paxton/Devi/Ben love triangle. Never Have I Ever Season 3 drops on August 12 on Netflix.
Day Shift (Netflix) – August 12

Who doesn’t want to watch Jamie Foxx and Snoop Dogg fight vampires? It’s a recipe for success if you ask me. Be sure to check out Day Shift when it premieres on August 12 on Netflix.
Film Description: Jamie Foxx stars as a hard working blue collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted daughter, but his mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires as part of an international Union of vampire hunters.
This Fool (Hulu) – August 12

Hulu’s latest comedy follows Julio Lopez, who still lives at home and works at Hugs Not Thugs, a gang rehabilitation non-profit. This Fool premieres on Hulu on August 12 with all ten episodes.
Series Description: Inspired by the life and stand-up of star and co-creator Chris Estrada, This Fool is an irreverent, cinematic half-hour comedy set in working class South Central Los Angeles. The show centers around Julio Lopez, a 30-year-old who still lives at home, has been dating his girlfriend on and off since high school, and finds any excuse to avoid dealing with his own problems. Julio works at Hugs Not Thugs, a gang rehabilitation non-profit, where he butts heads with his older cousin Luis, an ex-gang member who just got out of prison and moved in with Julio and his family.
A League of Their Own (Prime Video) – August 12

Based on a beloved film, the series focuses on a generation of women who dream of playing professional baseball. A League of Their Own debuts on Prime Video with all 8 episodes on August 12.
Series Description: A League of Their Own evokes the joyful spirit of Penny Marshall’s beloved classic, while widening the lens to tell the story of an entire generation of women who dreamed of playing professional baseball, both in and outside of the AAGPBL. The show follows Carson (Abbi Jacobson) and Max (Chanté Adams) and a new ensemble of sharp and hilarious characters as they carve their paths toward the field, along the way finding their teams and themselves.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (Disney+) – August 18

The latest MCU superhero to be introduced through a Disney+ series is Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. She-Hulk. The series features a bunch of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law consists of 9 episodes that will release weekly beginning on August 18 on Disney+.
Series Description: In Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) — an attorney specializing in superhuman-oriented legal cases — must navigate the complicated life of a single, 30-something who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.
Look Both Ways (Netflix) – August 17

One small moment or decision can change the course of your life forever. Netflix’s latest film follows Natalie as her life diverges into two different realities. Look Both Ways debuts on Netflix on August 17.
Film Description: On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie’s (Lili Reinhart) life diverges into parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and remains in her hometown, and another in which she does not and moves to Los Angeles. In both journeys, Natalie experiences life-changing love, pursues her dream career as an artist, and rediscovers herself.
The Undeclared War (Peacock) – August 18

Get to know the analysts working in the UK’s version of the NSA as they try to stop a cyber attack. The Undeclared War drops with all episodes on August 18 on Peacock.
Series Description: Set in 2024 in the run up to a British general election, The Undeclared War tracks a leading team of analysts buried in the heart of GCHQ, the UK’s version of the NSA, secretly working to ward off a cyber-attack on the country’s electoral system.
Bad Sisters (Apple TV+) – August 19

Your family will always be there for you, through thick and thin, and they’ll be there if you ever need a helping hand to commit murder. The first two episodes of Bad Sisters premiere on August 19 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.
Series Description: A delicious blend of both dark comedy and thriller, Bad Sisters follows the lives of the Garvey sisters, who are bound together by the premature death of their parents and a promise to always protect one another. The series stars Sharon Horgan, alongside Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, and Eve Hewson as the Garvey sisters.
Samaritan (Prime Video) – August 26

Sam is convinced his neighbor is secretly Samaritan, a vigilante who was reported dead years ago, and Sam’s decided he has to get his neighbor to take back up his crime-fighting ways to save the city. Samaritan debuts on Prime Video on August 26.
Film Description: Thirteen-year-old Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) suspects that his mysterious and reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith (Sylvester Stallone) is actually a legend hiding in plain sight.
