Preview — Superman & Lois Season 2 Episode 15: Waiting for Superman
Smallville’s residents and John Diggle come together as the planets merge on Superman & Lois Season 2 Episode 15, “Waiting for Superman.”
Also, who thinks “Waiting for Superman” is a direct reference to Chris Daughtery’s song with the same title?
David Ramsey’s return to Superman & Lois could bode well for this season finale finally addressing where it belongs in the Arrowverse. More importantly, the photos that include Diggle confirm John Henry survives his free fall between worlds.
“Waiting for Superman” may provide either an opportunity for closure or reconciliation between Sarah and Jordan now that she knows about Jordan’s secret.
The photos suggest that Chrissy and Lois will have a transparent conversation in this season finale. Chrissy carries a lot of weight on her shoulders as she steps in front of the camera to give Smallville’s residents the news they need to know to prepare themselves for the unimaginable.
The context of the celebration, presumably thrown by Mayor Lana Lang, in the photos is unknown, but it seems as though Smallville is finding hope where it can while it waits for a miracle — for Superman.
As always, there’s a chance that the residents will save the day as much as any caped hero will. It’s moving to notice that Smallville’s heart remains strong in the face of another world-ending event.
Also, it’s reassuring to see Clark and Lana being friends again. Lana’s break from the Kents probably hasn’t lasted as long as she would prefer considering the extenuating circumstances they’re all facing.
Still, it’s comforting to presume Clark, Lana, and Lois will end the Superman & Lois season as the friends who become family we’ve come to know and love.
