Michael Mando Calls ‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6 ‘Operatic’ and ‘Romantic’ [Interview]
When asked what it felt like going into the final season of Better Call Saul, Michael Mando said first and foremost that he was “deeply grateful.”
We recently spoke with Mando on the red carpet during PaleyFest 2022, ahead of the Better Call Saul panel, about why he felt so grateful for the series and his character Nacho, and how he’d describe Better Call Saul Season 6. (You can watch the full video below.)

“It’s our best season by far,” Mando said. “You couldn’t write a better script, you know? And I couldn’t dream of a better character than Nacho.”
“For somebody who’s breaking good when everybody else is breaking bad, just trying to do the right thing — who’s willing to risk his life to save his father’s life. It’s a dream role,” he continued.
Mando went on to explain what he loves most about the character of Nacho.
“I think he’s so brave,” Mando said. “He’s one man against two corporate families, and he refuses to give in to the dark side. He cares about human life. He cares about his father. He stands up for what’s right. He tries, at least. He’s not perfect, but he refuses to give in. And I love that.”
While Mando couldn’t say much about what the audience might expect to see in Season 6, he did reiterate just how good the final season is.
“It’s our best season by far. It’s operatic. It’s romantic. It’s just so great.”
