Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of March 20th! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to.

This week’s picks include Sanditon’s return, Bridgerton enters another social season, Atlanta kicks off its final season, and more.

Here are our recommendations for what to watch on TV this week:

Sanditon – Sunday, March 20

After the series’ cancellation, PBS and BritBox partnered up to save the period drama about the beach side town. But with one notable absence in the core cast, it will be interesting to see what direction the show will take as Charlotte returns to the town. Sanditon returns Sunday, March 20 at 9/8c on PBS.

Episode Description: Charlotte returns to Sanditon in unexpected circumstances. Army officers descend on the town and Georgiana meets an intriguing artist. Esther Babington has to deal with having an unwanted encounter.

The penultimate episode of the freshman series sees a doppelganger heading into town at an inopportune time. Astrid & Lilly Save the World airs Wednesday, March 23 at 10/9c on Syfy.

Episode Description: A doppelganger monster arrives the day of the school play.

Atlanta – Thursday, March 24

After an extended hiatus, Earn and company are back and take the final season international as they embark on a European tour. Atlanta returns Tuesday, March 24 at 10/9c on FX.  

Episode Description: Earn, Alfred, Darius and Van revisit a troubled kid 50 years later while in the middle of a successful European tour.

Halo – Thursday, March 24

Based on the video game and novel series of the same name, the series takes a look at the biggest threat to human existence leading up to a battle in the 26th century. Halo debuts Thursday, March 24 on Paramount+.

Starstruck – Thursday, March 24

Jesse, Tom, and company are back for another season and ready to make their stateside return as the second season follows Jesse and Tom in the aftermath of her choice to stay in London with Tom instead of going back home. Starstruck returns Thursday, March 24 on HBO Max. 

Season Description: After her grand gesture at the end of season one, in season two, Jessie must deal with the real-world consequences of deciding to stay and pursue a relationship with Tom, rather than sticking to her original plan of returning home to New Zealand.

One Perfect Shot – Thursday, March 24

Ava DuVernay transforms the popular Twitter account and fleshes the concept out by inviting 6 filmmakers to talk about the one iconic shot from one of their films, including Kasi Lemmons, John Chu, and more. One Perfect Shot debuts Thursday, March 24 on HBO Max.

Series Description: One Perfect Shot features the careers of 6 visionary filmmakers recounting how they’ve created some of the industry’s most iconic shots. Hosted by Ava Duvernay and featuring Jon Chu, Kasi Lemmons, Patty Jenkins, Malcolm Lee, Michael Mann, and Aaron Sorkin.

Bridgerton – Friday, March 25

After the pandemic put production on pause many times, the novel adaptation is back and ready to tell the story of Anthony’s search for a viscountess, and he’s got his sights set on the Sharma family’s diamond, Edwina. But with the eldest Sharma daughter, Kate, in protective big sister mode, things will take a turn. Bridgerton returns Friday, March 25 on Netflix.

Pachinko – Friday, March 25

This sweeping family epic that intertwines the past and the present tells the story of a woman who looks back and revisits memories of love, loss, and war. Pachinko debuts Friday, March 25 on AppleTV+.

The Owl House – Saturday, March 26

The final season is underway as Luz continues her search for information about the creator of the portal door. The Owl House airs Saturday, March 26 at 9/8c on Disney Channel

Episode Description: Luz is desperate for more information about Philip Wittebane, the creator of the portal door. With Lilith’s help, she sets off on a journey for the ages.

A Second Chance at Love – Saturday, March 26

It’s an ER reunion on Hallmark as Eriq La Salle and Gloria Reuben star in this romantic comedy on the network as a young woman avoids her own relationship troubles by trying to parent trap her divorced parents through an app. A Second Chance at Love premieres Saturday, March 26 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel.

Movie Description:  Alicia and Arnold’s marriage is amiss. Rather than face the problem, Alicia immerses herself in her divorced parents’ affairs by setting them up on a dating app.
