Preview — Station 19 Season 5 Episode 14: Alone in the Dark
Station 23 closes its doors on Station 19 Season 5 Episode 14, “Alone in the Dark,” leaving a lot of firefighters uncertain about their futures.
Beckett appears to be equally uncertain of his future as Chief Ross steps in after learning of his drinking on the job.
Presumably, Beckett puts two-and-two together and knows that Robert spoke up to their boss. It looks like such action puts Beckett on the bench, at least temporarily.
Because when 19 responds to a car fire in a parking garage, it seems like Robert is the one commanding the scene — not Beckett.
It could be that Chief Ross definitively benched or demoted Beckett until further investigation. On the other hand, Robert’s promotion could be Beckett’s incentive to speak up about Robert and Natasha’s relationship.
There is a lot of tension bubbling in the crucible this season, and it may only worsen (before it gets better, hopefully) for Travis and Emmett.
Emmett inviting Travis to dinner would be a nice gesture if the on-and-off-again couple were in a better place, but Travis is holding a lot back from the guy he cares about — still. Not to mention, Michael Dixon isn’t the best person.
Maybe the ultimate silver lining comes from Andy meeting a charming firefighter at Joe’s Bar. But, even if it doesn’t pan out, it’s still cool to see Station 19 crossing over with Grey’s Anatomy through shared sets.
