With Bethany Joy Lenz and Hilarie Burton guest starring, Good Sam Season 1 Episode 8, “Keep Talking,” will be an unmissable One Tree Hill reunion.
Lenz and Burton reunite on-screen with Sophia Bush for the first time since Burton left One Tree Hill in the Season 6 finale in 2009. Lenz and Bush continued to share the small screen until the series finale in 2012.
Of course, the trio is currently revisiting the iconic teen drama via their podcast “Drama Queens.” But, Good Sam takes that excitement to a whole new level with new characters who have new stakes in a different environment.
Lenz and Burton are playing sisters this time around, and their roles are swapped from their previous show.
Lenz plays Amy Taylor, who is a bit edgier than Tree Hill’s Haley James Scott. While Burton plays Amy’s sister Gretchen, who couldn’t be more different from Peyton Sawyer — as far as we can tell from the photos and clips.
The sisters cross paths with Sam when Amy is admitted to Lakeshore with signs of premature heart disease. Gretchen’s great concern for her sister intensifies tenfold when Sam, Caleb, and Griff think a deeper medical mystery is the cause of Amy’s symptoms.
Meanwhile, Sam and Lex rally behind Griff as he awaits the results of his MRI, and Tina Kingsley raises more suspicions around Griff’s potential reinstatement as Chief. Plus, Malcolm makes his big pitch for a Lakeshore Clinic to his mother.
