Preview — Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Premiere
The second season of Star Trek: Picard is almost here, and if the trailer is anything to go by, we’re in for a time wimey adventure that incorporates several familiar faces from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Given the dramatic events that closed the series’ first season — Picard himself technically died and his consciousness was uploaded into a synthetic replica of himself — the show could go virtually anywhere in Season 2. But where it appears to be headed is back to the past. Los Angeles, 2024, to be exact.
Fan-favorite John de Lancie is back as the scheming intergalactic trickster known as Q.
He, for reasons yet unknown, appears to have traveled back in time and messed with the past, creating a new alternate reality (that he refers to as an “authoritarian nightmare”) and plenty of problems for Picard and the crew of the La Sirena to solve if they want to restore the timeline to its proper balance.
