We celebrate the return of the Pearsons as we always do — with a Big Three birthday party!

This Is Us Season 6 Episode 1, “The Challenger,” kicks off the final chapter of this long-running series with a 41st birthday milestone.

This episode has all the traditions of a tried and true Pearson outing as Rebecca and Jack sneak in a sweet morning serenade before attempting to carrell the tiny toddlers for their big day.

In the present day, Kate grapples with less adorable Pearson gestures as Toby’s new job and building stress leave her feeling underwhelmed by his surprise spa day. With Toby spending Kate’s birthday out of town, we see the beginnings of their fallout.

Rebecca’s health continues to weigh on the story, but knowing she and Miguel are now besties with Nicky and they will no doubt get up to some trouble together helps ease the pain of what’s to come for this dynamic.

As the last Big Three birthday of the series, “The Challenger” is sure to throw one hell of a memorable party in honor of This Is Us‘ six-season reign.
