Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of October 17th! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to while stuck inside.

This week’s picks include the prodigal Succession’s return, a milestone episode for Chicago Fire, Queens debuts, and more.

Jackie is back and ready to do good now that she’s become a state cop. First thing to do on her list, avenge her best friend’s murder. Hightown returns Sunday October 17 at 9/8c on Starz.

Episode Description: Jackie is out to prove herself as a cop and avenge the death of her best friend, Junior; Frankie teams up with his cousin; there is a new deadly drug in town called Great White.

Succession – Sunday, October 17

After a lengthy hiatus, the Roy family is back and ready to deal with the aftermath of that mic drop of a press conference, and everyone is running around to find safety for their sides. Succession returns Sunday, October 17 at 9/8c on HBO.

Episode Description: Season premiere. Following his bombshell presser, a righteous Kendall (Jeremy Strong) scrambles to find a base of operations, while Logan’s (Brian Cox) team searches for safe harbor.

Baptiste – Sunday, October 18

The Missing spin-off is back, and the detective is put on a case to investigate the abduction of an ambassador’s daughter. When the case arrives at a devastating development, the race is on to save the ambassador’s two sons. Baptiste returns Sunday, October 18 at 10/9c on PBS.

Episode Description: Julien Baptiste travels to Hungary to help the British Ambassador, Emma Chambers, find her missing family. When a body is found, the pressure is on to save Emma’s two sons.

Women is Losers – Monday, October 18

This independent film tells the story of a young woman living in San Francisco in the 60s and her determination to rise above her circumstances, setting up the future she wants for herself by herself. Women is Losers premieres Monday, October 18 on HBO Max.

Movie Description: In 1960s San Francisco, a once-promising catholic school girl, Celina Guerrera, sets out to rise above the oppression of poverty and invest in a future for herself that sets new precedents for the time.

Wakefield – Monday, October 18

Showtime’s latest acquisition tells the story of a psychiatric nurse as he begins to find himself balancing between sanity and madness. Wakefield debuts Monday, October 18 at 9/8c on Showtime.

Episode Description: Acting nursing unit manager Linda feels threatened when she learns that her job is being advertised; Nik is asked to be the best man at his sister’s wedding, but it reminds him of his ex-fiancée, Kareena, who starts working at Ward C.

The Bachelorette – Tuesday, October 19

It’s time for Michelle Young to find love as she becomes the new Bachelorette and a new batch of thirty men vie for Michelle’s heart. Who will be the one? The Bachelorette returns Tuesday, October 19 at 8/7c on ABC.

Episode Description: Michelle Young’s journey to find love begins! Thirty incredible men arrive, hoping to impress Michelle with their charm, wit and dashing good looks, but before the men can attempt to woo her, they’ll have to get through hosts and mentors Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams first. It may be night one, but the suitors quickly learn it’s going to take more than a good limo entrance to win this Bachelorette’s heart.

Queens – Tuesday, October 19

With an impressively talented roster, the latest music-based series follows a ‘90s girl group as they find their way back to each other and try to reclaim their notoriety a few decades later. Queens debuts Tuesday, October 19 at 10/9c on ABC.

Episode Description: Starring Eve, Naturi Naughton, Nadine Velazquez and Brandy, “Queens” follows a fractured girl group living in the shadows of their once prominent hip-hop dynasty. After their popularity skyrocketed with the success of their chart-topping single, “Nasty Girl,” they were once regarded as one of the greatest girl groups of their generation. Despite critical and commercial success, the group was plagued by internal conflict and jealousy. Estranged and out of touch, the four women, now in their 40s reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had in the ‘90s when they were legends in the hip-hop world.

The One Chicago crew marks a major milestone for one of their own as Chicago Fire hits the 200th episode, finding everyone making life-changing decisions, new programs, and impending fatherhood. Chicago Fire airs Wednesday, October 20 at 9/8c on NBC.

Episode Description: Casey makes a life-altering decision; Gallo, Ritter and Violet agree to an interview and photo shoot; Brett and Mouch launch the paramedicine program; Cruz comes closer to fatherhood.

Night Teeth – Wednesday, October 20

A college student moonlighting as a chauffeur gets the night of his life as his first two clients he’s been tasked to drive around Los Angeles turn out to be something he only has ever read about. Night Teeth drops Wednesday, October 20 on Netflix.

Movie Description: To earn some extra cash, quirky college student Benny (Jorge Lendeborg, Jr.) moonlights as a chauffeur for one night. His task: drive two mysterious young women (Debby Ryan and Lucy Fry) around Los Angeles for a night of party hopping. Taken captive by his clients’ charm, he soon learns that his passengers have their own plans for him – and an insatiable thirst for blood. As his night spins out of control, Benny is thrust into the middle of a clandestine war that pits rival tribes of vampires against the protectors of the human world, led by his brother (Raúl Castillo), who will stop at nothing to send them back into the shadows. The latest animated comedy follows a dysfunctional team in charge of committing the conspiracy theories that many have discounted because of the way these conspiracies read. Inside Job drops Friday, October 22 on Netflix.

Series Description: Inside Job is an adult animated comedy about the shadow government– and the dysfunctional team whose daily grind is committing the world’s conspiracies. From convoluted coverups to secret societies to masked orgy etiquette, navigating office culture at Cognito Inc. can be tricky, especially for anti-social tech genius Reagan Ridley. Just when they thought the worst was over, the trio find that there’s more danger on the horizon than they realized and even more keys to discover. Locke & Key returns Friday, October 22 on Netflix.
