If you ever feel like you’re the last to know about a new TV show or movie that’s streaming, our What to Stream articles are for you. We’ve gathered our picks of movies, series, and new TV show seasons premiering on various streaming platforms in November that you’ll definitely want to watch.

This month can be referred to as the month of Hailee Steinfeld as she has three series debuting: Dickinson Season 3, Hawkeye, and Arcane (not mentioned below, but deserves a shoutout). Elsewhere this month, you can tune into The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star for some holiday cheer, or you can go the action route with Red Notice.

Here are our picks for what to stream in November:

Dickinson Season 3 (Apple TV+) – November 5

It’s time to say goodbye to Emily Dickinson, and the civil war will make for an interesting backdrop to the final season. Dickinson Season 3 premieres with the first three episodes on Apple TV+ on November 5, with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: In the third season, Emily Dickinson’s most productive time as an artist falls amid the raging American Civil War and an equally fierce battle that divides her own family. As Emily tries to heal the divides around her, she wonders if art can help keep hope alive, and whether the future can be better than the past.

Red Notice (Netflix) – November 12

If you’re in the mood for an action thriller, then check out this heist starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot. Red Notice debuts on Netflix on November 12.

Film Description: When an Interpol-issued Red Notice — the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted — goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop.” The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company.

The Shrink Next Door (Apple TV+) – November 12

This Apple TV+ drama explores the dangerous dynamic between Marty and his psychiatrist, Dr. Isaac. The Shrink Next Door premieres on November 12 on Apple TV+.

Series Description: Inspired by true events, The Shrink Next Door details the bizarre relationship between psychiatrist to the stars Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf (played by Paul Rudd) and his longtime patient Martin “Marty” Markowitz (played by Will Ferrell). Over the course of their relationship, the all-too-charming Ike slowly inserts himself into Marty’s life, even moving into Marty’s Hamptons home and persuading Marty to name him president of the family business. The series explores how a seemingly normal doctor-patient dynamic morphs into an exploitative relationship filled with manipulation, power grabs, and dysfunction at its finest.

Home Sweet Home Alone (Disney+) – November 12

A holiday classic is being re-vamped; tune in for new mischief and new thieves. Home Sweet Home Alone debuts on Disney+ on November 12.

Film Description: Max Mercer is a mischievous and resourceful young boy who has been left behind while his family is in Japan for the holidays. So when a married couple attempting to retrieve a priceless heirloom set their sights on the Mercer family’s home, it is up to Max to protect it from the trespassers…and he will do whatever it takes to keep them out. Hilarious hijinks of epic proportions ensue, but despite the absolute chaos, Max comes to realize that there really is no place like home sweet home.

Take a trip to Kingstown, Michigan where the most prosperous business is incarceration. Mayor of Kingstown premieres on November 14 on Paramount+.

Series Description: Mayor of Kingstown follows the McLusky family — power brokers in Kingstown, Mich., where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.

Psych 3: This is Gus (Peacock) – November 18

Shawn and Gus are back, and the latest movie follows all the shenanigans leading up to Gus’ wedding. Psych 3: This is Gus debuts on Peacock on November 18.

Film Description: In preparation for a shotgun wedding before the birth of Baby Guster, Shawn (James Roday Rodriguez) and Groomzilla Gus (Dulé Hill) go rogue in an attempt to track down Selene’s (Jazmyn Simon) estranged husband, as Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) grapples with the future of his career.

The Sex Lives of College Girls (HBO Max) – November 18

Mindy Kaling’s latest creation follows four college roommates as they explore their newfound freedom and all the joys college has to offer. The Sex Lives of College Girls premieres on HBO Max on November 18 with the first two episodes.

It’s time to check back in with our favorite doppelgangers, and this time around, they’re on a mission to recover a relic that’s been stolen. The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star debuts on November 18 on Netflix.

Film Description: When a priceless relic is stolen, Queen Margaret (Vanessa Hudgens) and Princess Stacy (Vanessa Hudgens) enlist the help of Margaret’s audacious look-alike cousin Fiona (Vanessa Hudgens) who teams with a dashing, mysterious man from her past to retrieve it… rekindling the sparks of a tantalizing Christmas romance and resulting in a very unexpected switch.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 (Paramount+) – November 18

It’s time to board the U.S.S. Discovery once again. Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 premieres on Paramount+ on November 18.

Season Description: Season four of Star Trek: Discovery finds Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery facing a threat unlike any they’ve ever encountered. The Great Season 2 (Hulu) – November 19

The Russian throne is Catherine’s, but her struggle is still ongoing as she tries to bring enlightenment to Russia. The Great Season 2 premieres on November 19 on Hulu.

Season Description: In season two of The Great, Catherine finally takes the Russian throne for her own — but if she thought coup-ing her husband was difficult, it’s nothing compared to the realities of ‘liberating’ a country that doesn’t want to be. She’ll battle her court, her team, even her own mother in a bid to bring the enlightenment to Russia. All writers experience moments of writers block and self-doubt, and the same is true for Jon. He’s trying to write the great American musical. Will he cave under the pressure, or will he succeed? tick, tick… BOOM! premieres on Netflix on November 19.

Film Description: The film follows Jon, a young theater composer who’s waiting tables at a New York City diner in 1990 while writing what he hopes will be the next great American musical. Days before he’s due to showcase his work in a make-or-break performance, Jon is feeling the pressure from everywhere: from his girlfriend Susan, who dreams of an artistic life beyond New York City; from his friend Michael, who has moved on from his dream to a life of financial security; amidst an artistic community being ravaged by the AIDS epidemic. If you’re in the mood for a space Western, look no further. Cowboy Bebop premieres on Netflix on November 19.

Series Description: Cowboy Bebop is an action-packed space Western about three bounty hunters, aka “cowboys,” all trying to outrun the past. As different as they are deadly, Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir), and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda) form a scrappy, snarky crew ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals — for the right price. But they can only kick and quip their way out of so many scuffles before their pasts finally catch up with them.

Based on a beloved series, The Wheel of Time takes us to a new magical world, and we find ourselves joining Moiraine as she embarks on a dangerous journey. The Wheel of Time premieres on November 19 on Amazon Prime Video.

Series Description: Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine, a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.

Hawkeye (Disney+) – November 24

Disney+’s latest Marvel series checks back in with Clint Barton around the holidays. Hawkeye premieres with its first two episodes on November 24 on Disney+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, who teams up with another well-known archer from the Marvel comics, Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. 

Hanna Season 3 (Amazon Prime Video) – November 24

In Season 3, Hannah is determined to take down Utrax, and as she gets closer to her goal, secrets are revealed. All 6 episodes of Hanna Season 3 will be available on Amazon Prime Video on November 24.

Season Description: Season Three of Hanna continues the journey of an extraordinary young woman, played by Esmé Creed-Miles, who was created by the sinister organization Utrax and trained to be an assassin. Hanna is now secretly trying to destroy Utrax from the inside and free herself from its grasp with the help of her previous nemesis, former-CIA agent Marissa Wiegler. Together they have coerced high-ranking Utrax agent John Carmichael into aiding their mission, but her fellow young assassins, Sandy and Jules, and new foes are starting to suspect Hanna’s plot.
