It’s been a weird, joyful, and unexpected ride, but this little underdog show that barely made it to a Season 2 is airing its 100th episode. To celebrate this milestone, the show is looking back through the eyes of the Waverider’s stalwart AI, Gideon.
Struggling to adapt to her new human form, an overwhelmed Gideon shuts down. To save her, Astra and Spooner have to go into Gideon’s mindscape, which holds all her memories of her time with the Legends.
The trip through Gideon’s mind gives the show a chance to bring back past Legends cast members, going all the way back to Falk Hentschel, who played Hawkman during season 1.
Other returning characters include fan favorites, Ray Palmer, Nora Dahrk, Professor Stein, Jax, and even Captain Cold (it will be weird to see Snart on an episode without Mick, though).
Another fun detail about Legends‘ 100th episode is that it is directed by none other than Captain Lance herself, Caity Lotz.
This is Lotz’s third time in the director’s chair for Legends of Tomorrow, but there’s something extra special about having Lotz — who has become the show’s lead — direct this episode.
