Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of August 8th! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to while stuck inside.

This week’s picks include a new season of Stargirl, Reservation Dogs’ debut, and more.

Here are our recommendations for what to watch on TV this week:

Godfather of Harlem – Sunday, August 8

After a hiatus, the series is back and ready to pick up on the action as Bumpy’s set to accept a big award all while Stella and her father’s dynamic shifts in the wake of a secret revealed. Godfather of Harlem returns Sunday, August 8 at 9/8c on Epix.

Episode Description: Before accepting a prestigious award, Bumpy Johnson contemplates the many contradictions in his life, and struggles to do what’s best for his family. Chin Gigante learns a difficult truth about his daughter, Stella, forever altering their relationship.

Reservation Dogs – Monday, August 9

From Taika Waititi comes a new series that follows the lives of four indigenous teenagers as they do everything they need to do to get to California. Reservation Dogs drops Monday, August 9 on FX on Hulu.

Series Description: Four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma steal, rob, and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious, and faraway land of California.

Stargirl – Tuesday, August 10

Courtney and company are back, and it’s almost time for summer break. But things take a turn as secrets are revealed and the hunt for Solomon Grundy continues. Stargirl returns Tuesday, August 10 at 8/7c on the CW.

Episode Description: With summer break around the corner, Pat suggests the family take a vacation; Beth stumbles upon a major secret her parents have been keeping from her; Rick secretly tracks Solomon Grundy after suspecting he may still be in the area.

What If…? – Wednesday, August 11

Marvel’s about to change things up a bit for a new series that asks “what if some things were different in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?” This series provides fans with that answer as the animated series reimagines these events, beginning with Peggy Carter taking the super-soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers. What If…?  Debuts Wednesday, August 11 on Disney+.

Series Description: Reimagining noteworthy events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and creating a multiverse of infinite possibilities.

Titans – Thursday, August 12

The team finds themselves heading to Gotham City as the Red Hood rises and old wounds are opened again. Titans returns Thursday, August 12 on HBO Max.

Season Description: Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find where they belong. In season three, circumstances draw our heroes to Gotham City, where they will reunite with old friends and face new threats.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine – Thursday, August 12

It’s the beginning of the end of the Nine-Nine’s run with an hour-long premiere as Amy returns from maternity leave and the squad goes on a weekend getaway. Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns Thursday, August 12 at 8/7c on NBC.

Episode Description: Amy returns from maternity leave; Jake and Rosa work a difficult case. The squad takes Captain Holt up on an offer for a weekend getaway.

Valeria Season 2 – Friday, August 13

When she’s stuck in a rut in her writing and her marriage, her three friends are there for her as the series follows the four friends on their adventures and growth. Valeria Season 2 drops Friday, August 13 on Netflix.

Season Description: Valeria is a writer in crisis, both with her novels and her husband. Thankfully, her three best friends, Carmen, Lola, and Nerea, support her through her adventures, whilst having ones of their own. Valeria and her friends are immersed in a whirlwind of emotions about love, friendship, jealousy, unfaithfulness, doubts, heartbreak, secrets, work, worries, joy and dreams of the future.

Spin – Friday, August 13

When Rhea discovers her love for mixing music and creating new remixes, she finds herself at a crossroads between what she wants and her willingness to just go out and get it. Spin debuts Friday, August 13 at 8/7c on Disney Channel.

Movie Description: Spin follows Rhea, a relatable Indian American teen who discovers her passion for creating DJ mixes that blend the rich textures of her South Asian culture and the world around her. Her life revolves around her eclectic group of friends, Molly, Watson and Ginger; her after-school coding club; her family’s Indian restaurant; and her tight-knit, multigenerational family, which includes her father, Arvind, younger brother Rohan and her grandmother, Asha. Everything changes when she falls for aspiring DJ Max, and her long-lost fervor for music is re-ignited. Rhea discovers that she has a natural gift for creating beats and producing music but must find the courage to follow her true inner talent.

The Owl House – Saturday, August 14

It’s time for the midseason finale, and Luz may have a found a way. But considering what she’s gained and where she’s been, will she be ready for what she returns to? The Owl House midseason finale airs Saturday, August 14 at 11/10c on Disney Channel.

Episode Description: Luz thinks she’s found a way back home. But is she ready for what she’ll find on the other side?
