Big Brother Season 23 Week 6 Recap: Is The Cookout Starting to Crumble?
With the number of Big Brother Season 23 houseguests dwindling, The Cookout Alliance is starting to turn on one another.
Tiffany initiates the betrayal of her alliance during Big Brother Season 23 Week 5 when she approaches Britini about gameplay without letting Derek F. and Azah know the reason. Derek F. is of course mad and has every reason to be.
Derek F. takes it a little too far by cussing out Tiffany for going against the alliance. Tiffany is actually trying to keep The Cookout safe by getting Sarah Beth evicted over Christian. Sara Beth is out to get Hannah and is not hiding that from her Big Brother houseguests.

However, Tiffany does need to take a step back and look at the big picture. Christian might be an ally for a few more weeks, but he is going to be harder to beat than Sarah Beth in the end. Sarah Beth only has one true ally in Kyland, which is the only reason she is safe this week.
The drama between The Cookout alliance continues into the HOH competition. Though Kyland claims he does not want the win, he is doing a poor job of throwing a competition that is fairly simple to lose. Kyland clearly likes having the power but not any of the blood that comes with it.
And drama must be Azah’s middle name. She is angered by the fact Kyland does not throw her the HOH competition. How about Azah actually starts playing the game and win something on her own?

Azah’s strategy is very similar to Derek F. Neither of them contribute much to their alliance and are almost guaranteeing themselves a second or third place finish if they can survive that long. And now that Britini is gone from the house, Azah did just gain one jury vote if she makes it to the end of Big Brother Season 23.
And thank goodness for the Veto Derby. This is a much needed addition to the Big Brother game to spice things up a bit. And to top it off, the much-loved OTEV competition goes along with the new twist.
OTEV is a staple on Big Brother, though it usually comes later in the season. Maybe CBS is worried viewership is down and they feel the need to move this up a few weeks to keep the audience watching. Regardless, it is great to see a popular game back along with a voice that sounds strangely like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Azah continues to get on Tiffany’s bad side during this game. Though Britini is in her alliance, it does not make sense for her to throw the Veto competition to Britini so obviously. Azah must remember her stronger alliance is The Cookout as they will get her a lot further along in the game than Britini.
Kyland once again proves he is a Big Brother strategic competitor by throwing the final round of the competition. He knows either way he is going to win the Veto after selecting Alyssa as the winner in the derby competition.
Though Claire is upset at first because she is not able to win the second veto, that disappointment turns to some excitement when she is removed from the block. However, she sees right through Kyland’s tactic.
Not only does Kyland appease Alyssa by allowing her to win, he kind of patches up his relationship with Claire by removing her as a nominee. If he continues this type of gameplay, he is sure to be a worthy competitor on finale night. Unless Claire eventually wins HOH and kicks his butt out of the Big Brother house.

And we are finally done seeing Britini’s endless crying fits as she meets her demise. But now it looks like Azah will be the replacement Big Brother cryer as she is pretty upset with Britini leaving. Maybe this loss will cause her to put some more effort into the game and she can pull off a competition win.
Britini is pretty full of herself during her exit interview. If she thinks that she would win the $750,000 prize over Derek X, Xavier, Kyland, or Tiffany, she is truly delusional. She may have a good underdog story to share, but almost everyone else in the Big Brother house is a more strategic player by far.
Congrats to Sarah Beth on her HOH win. This will solidify that The Cookout will continue to crumble into Week 7. And that surely means more drama for us fans.
