The Big Three are gearing up to say goodbye with the first of this season’s final three episodes.
Nothing about this untraditional year has been easy on the sophomore series and This Is Us Season 5 Episode 14, “The Music and the Mirror,” will continue to navigate the rough waters of the pandemic as Beth returns to her dance studio and Kevin comes face to face with someone from his past.
Beth’s decision to return to her dance roots and open a studio has been all but absent from this season with lockdown keeping her close to the family instead.
Now the time has come to open those doors back up and explore the “what-ifs” and the “what have I done” elements of this career change for her. It would seem Beth’s wavering confidence isn’t just affecting her as Randall and Deja find themselves keeping a close eye on the rock of their family for the first time in a long time.
In other Pearson households, things are just as complicated with Nicky still in town and Madison preparing for her wedding with Kevin.
Toby and Kate are not exempt from life’s unexpected chaos either and apparently have so much going on, they have to enlist neighbour Gregory to look after Baby Jack — something we should all thoroughly look forward to.
This Is Us has had to forgo many of its over-arching storylines this season in favour of living in the moment.
This means we are completely in the dark when it comes to guessing what Pearson-sized drama will go down during these final episodes and what main event will be closing this season out with a bang.
