FOX Renews ‘Call Me Kat’ for Season 2
Fire up the cat cam! FOX has renewed its new comedy series, Call Me Kat for Season 2.
“We are excited to renew Call Me Kat and have Mayim, Cheyenne, Swoosie, Leslie, Kyla and Julian return for their second season. Together, they share a winning chemistry that we, and viewers, adore,” said Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment, FOX Entertainment. “On behalf of everyone here at FOX, congratulations to this incredible cast and our terrific partners at Warner Bros. on delivering this season’s #1 new comedy.”

The American adaptation of BBC hit Miranda, follows Kat (Mayim Bialik) as she quits her job as a math professor and opens a cat cafe.
She is supported by friends/employees Phil (Leslie Jordan) and Randi (Kyla Pratt), her mother Sheila (Swoosie Kurtz), bar owner Carter (Julian Gant), and best friend/love interest Max (Cheyenne Jackson).

Call Me Kat tied with Young Rock as the season’s No. 1 new comedy, averaging 5.7 viewers across various platforms.
When we left off on Call Me Cat Season 1 Episode 12 “Cat-A-Versary,” Max finally confessed his feelings to Kat just as she’s starting to get serious with boyfriend Oscar.
The new season will see the show make backstage changes, as showrunner Darlene Hunt will not be back for Season 2.
