The staff of New Amsterdam is dealing with the emotional effects of the COVID-19 pandemic when a plane crashes into the East River and shifts focus on New Amsterdam Season 3 Episode 1, “The New Normal.”
Iggy has to help a pilot figure out why the plane crashed before he faces dire consequences.
Plus, Max has to find a way to get medical supplies he desperately needs to help all of the patients with COVID-19. The fact that one of New Amsterdam’s own doctors is among them only makes Max more determined.

Episode description: New Amsterdam is still reeling from the pandemic as a plane crash lands in the East River. When investigators come to interrogate the flight crew, Iggy fights against the clock to help the pilot uncover the truth. Max tracks down scarce medication after one of his own contracts COVID.
