Cruz has a close call on Chicago Fire Season 9 Episode 7, “Dead of Winter.”

After the life-threatening incident with the elevator just two episodes prior, it seems like Cruz can’t quite catch a break right now. The soon-to-be father is left shaken up after this next close call, which may leave him with some lingering concerns about fatherhood.

Meanwhile, Severide and Casey work together to search for answers after a fire at a homeless encampment. From the looks of the promo video, they’ll be looking to find out if the fire was intentional — and if it was attempted murder.

Check out the photos and promo video below for a preview of this episode, which airs Wednesday, February 17th at 9/8c on NBC.
