- Rae’s co-star Yvonne Orji wasted no time lining up her next project.
- Variety reports that she’s developing a semi-autobiographical comedy for Disney+.
- First Gen is “based on Orji’s personal experiences growing up as a Nigerian immigrant in America. As a child, she’s caught between trying to honor her parents and culture while simultaneously trying to assimilate to American life.”
- Orji is writing and executive producing alongside fellow executive producers David Oyelowo and Oprah Winfrey.

- One of Tyler Perry’s longest-running TV series is set to wrap up later this year.
- According to Deadline, The Haves and the Have Nots will end when it returns to OWN for its last batch of episodes in May.
- “The Haves and the Have Nots was the first scripted drama we aired on OWN, and to say it took off from the first day it hit the air is an understatement,” Oprah Winfrey told Deadline. “I thank Tyler, the incredible cast, the tireless crew and every single viewer who watched with bated breath each week and tweeted along with us these past eight years. I will be watching alongside you all during this final season.”
