Critics Choice Super Awards: ‘Vikings,’ ‘The Boys,’ and ‘The Mandalorian’ Among Winners

The inaugural Critics Choice Super Awards offered a fun chance for fans to celebrate their favorite Superhero, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Horror, Action, and Animation films and television series.

Produced remotely following COVID safety protocols, the ceremony was hosted by writer/director/podcaster Kevin Smith and actress/writer Dani Fernandez on The CW.

The Critics Choice Association also presented the Legacy Award to the Star Trek franchise. Patrick Stewart and Sonequa Martin-Green accepted the honor.

Among the TV series winners were Atony Starr and Aya Cash from The Boys, Jensen Ackles from Supernatural, and Angela Bassett from 9-1-1.

Vikings won the award for Best Action Series, while The Boys won for Best Superhero Series, and The Mandalorian won for Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Series. BoJack Horseman won the award for Best Animated Series.
