Ashley’s determination to return to the stage and fulfill her dreams is contrasted by Tucker’s not-so-sweet dreams on Tell Me A Story Season 2 Episode 8, “Sweet Dreams.” Ashley’s mother and Beau critique Ashley’s belief that she is ready to return to work, as they are worried about potential risks.

It’s a safe bet that their respective worries are different yet overlap in a meaningful way. Obviously they both care about Ashley. One could infer Beau’s concerns revolve around Ashley’s physical well-being while Rebecca has to look at the business side of returning to music.

The promo video points out a major flaw in Beau’s concerns, because he’s the one unconscious — not Ashley. It looks like Simone could be the one to find Beau, which would overlap these fairy tales even more.

As for Simone, she and Veronica reconcile and make and effort at being a family. Derek and Ron are mysteriously absent from the promo video, photos, and episode description. It’ll be interesting to see if and how they play along with this new family dynamic.

Elsewhere, Jackson and Maddie are heartbroken after being their harsh break-ups. The two siblings turn to each other for some comfort and peace of mind. Meanwhile, Olivia continues to toy with Tucker, and Tucker has some troubling dreams.

Episode description: Both heartbroken, Jackson (Matt Lauria) and Maddie (Odette Annable) find solace and clarity with each other. Ashley (Natalie Alyn Lind) is determine to return to the stage but Rebecca (Carrie-Anne Moss) and Beau (Eka Darville) are worried about potential risks.

Simone (Ashley Madekwe) and Veronica (guets star Garcelle Beauvais) reconcile and make an effort at being a family. Meanwhile, (Olivia’s) guest star Danielle Campbell) scheming continues and Tucker (Paul Wesley) has some troubling dreams. 

The episode was written by Brian Milliken and directed by Kevin Tancharoen.
