The 100 Season 7 Episode 12, “The Stranger,” sees a new day in Sanctum. Elsewhere, Clarke and her friends struggle with a new foe.
The events on The 100 Season 7 Episode 11, “Etherea,” point to Bellamy as the new adversary. Bellamy Blake is not the same man he was before his tumultuous journey on Etherea. Bellamy is a stranger, just as the title of the episode suggests.
Bellamy’s return paired with a shocking shift in his perspective is the push Season 7 needs to pull these final episodes together. The final war, however, nearly pales in comparison of reestablishing Bellamy’s identity and giving these characters some form of peace.
Sheidheda’s reign on Sanctum is challenging, but it doesn’t hold as much weight as seeing Bellamy turn against the people he loves.
Bellamy does what he believes is needed of him in the promo video. This begs the question of whether there is another plan at play. Bellamy, much like the other characters, is quick to adapt to survive.
There is a possibility that Bellamy’s alliance with Bardo’s emotionless, mind-controlled rules is a small part of a larger plan to save everyone. Although, that’s painfully optimistic for The 100.
This is the final season; there are only a handful of hours left with these characters. It may be ill-advised to hope for a happy ending when alliances are drawn and a final war is around the corner. Nevertheless, Bellamy Blake’s return makes everything feel possible again.
