First Look at ‘A.P. Bio’ Season 3
Class is back in session! The antics will even zanier, the jokes still more inappropriate, but, as ever, there will be absolutely no biology.
After being cancelled two seasons in by NBC, A.P. Bio has been rescued by Peacock, the network’s new streaming service. While the pandemic has made for a shorter season that fans may prefer, 8 episodes are a lot better than none, especially in a much thinner fall schedule than usual.
Season 3 will be released on Peacock on September 3. As is common for streaming outlets, all 8 episodes will be released at the same time, giving fans the option to either binge them all at once or spread them out to watch at their leisure.
A.P. Bio follows disgraced Harvard scholar Jack Griffin (Glenn Howerton) as he reluctantly takes a teaching slot that shares little with his expertise in philosophy. Refusing to actually teach his gifted students biology, he instead recruits them for revenge schemes and plots a return to glory.
While Jack refuses any connection to his former hometown of Toledo, Ohio in season 1, he begins to form reluctant bonds with his students and coworkers as the series progresses — while being as much of an inconsiderable hellraiser as ever.
Season 3’s trailer promises that the show will push more boundaries than ever before and, without the limitations of an 8:30 network timeslot, those promises can largely be fulfilled. There will still be limits on any swearing, however.
Featuring misadventures in sex (ed), (fake) drugs, and hurting people but definitely not killing them, A.P. Bio’s newest installments aren’t for the faint of heart, but we hope they’ll meet the expectations fans have for this weirdly lovable little show they fought so hard to see more of.
A.P. Bio also features Patton Oswalt, Paula Pell, Lyric Lewis, Mary Sohn, and Jean Villepique.
